Be prepared to actually work, know your own boundaries, dont ever yell at a customer " they are and always will be right " ( even if they aren't lol) just keep calm and move along

When we got new computer systems up and gift cards first started back online a customer purchased 25 dollar gift card it took his money and never acticated the card, i was on the register alone, let alone rush hour just hit so i was already busy, i couldnt do a refund without calling my boss which didn't pick up right away had 20 angry people throwing cash at me for items and leaving , worst part was i couldnt just wait on someone else once i hit refund it was stuck on the refund and needed the managers code to change the screen! Omg worst day ever

The co workers and customers are the best part of the job, you meet great people, life time friends and always joke
