Listen for new Stimulus package they are working on passing this Friday, 12/18. They may extend Pandemic UI. If not, you have the option of the EB (extended benefits extension) from your State. Look up the % thresh hold for your particular State to see if you qualify.

Hi, Rory, Did you have to respond to UIA for the reason why you were exited? You need to respond that you Performed the Job to the Best of your Ability; and that you were given no previous warnings (if they did not give you any). Those are two things you should stress in your answer to UIA. You are supposed to be given previous coaching if it was your performance and a chance to improve. Ensure UIA that you did the job to the best of your ability and would have gladly workd thigs out, if given a chance.

Owner and operator of cleaning houses, just me. I also get $800 out of court payments from my ex for our daughter yet he cannot pay anymore. Lives in Japan and he cannot get unemployment and has no work. I didnt make much for the yr but enough to live off of. Now I only have 1 client which is 525 a month. That's all I get. Cant I include the money received from ex as a loss of income? I was denied ,I didnt include it yet. I am not able to restart claim, I have not had a response after sending over 10 emails. I received my state refund, yet now just got a paper asking me about my self employment. If unemployment can garnish from non custodial for nonpayment then it seems fair that I should be able to claim the support on my unemployment.

Interested in talking to the media?

I work with the Jobcase public relations team and we have a reporter from Business Insider doing a story around unemployment insurance—she’s interested in talking with Jobcase members struggling to get through to their state’s unemployment office. Please respond only if this applies to you, and only if you approve being contacted by Business Insider.

This would likely be a minimal time investment--perhaps a 15-minute call with Business Insider, or whatever you can offer. If interested please share your location, occupation and a brief overview of your story. We’ll email you with more information on the opportunity.

Business Insider would love to hear from the Jobcase community, and it's a great potential opportunity to share your story, advocate for workers like yourself and boost your work profile!

Responding to me does not guarantee you'll be contacted or be included in a Business Insider article. #coronavirus #unemploymentinsurance #unemploymentoffice
