Believing that the system had my best interest, I got hurt after 26 years 1900 hours of sick leave at the time, and was totally denied workman comp because i reported my injury a week later.

I can't say too much about my stress level, I tolerate much, but at the end of the day it's about getting the jobs done

The distribution plant was always a 24/7 workplace where each shift came together to get the mail out and distributed in time. Loved the friends I made and I truly miss it!

I love working for the US Postal Services because this organization is a global sector that provides services across the world. The professionalism is an ongoing improvement for their consumers. Employees have the opportunity to work various jobs positions through the bidding cycle which is awarded based on seniority. We have the opportunity to donate funds volunteerily to various charities to help people across the world. The USPostal Services has taught me how to be more professional through training classes, and to be responsible and appreciative of having a government job. We have weekly safety talks. But most importantly, I love that we have "Voice of the Employee." Employees are given the opportunity to share their ideas with the management on improvements or adjustments to help achieve daily tasks and the flow of production. Employees are awarded and acknowledged for the performamce and this let's us know that we are part of the postal team.

I worked as a sales associate. One day I was feeling sick. I ended up leaving early, but when I counted my cash drawer I was missing a check. I found out the next day, after returning to work, that I had given the check back to the customer. This customer came back to the post office later that same day I went home and bought more stamps. I had to pay for the amount of the check. Lucky for me the check was for only about $35.00.

I loved working with the public. I enjoyed the challenge of turning an angry customer around. I also loved seeing customers as I knew quite a few of them because I live and grew up in the area!

I work well with co-workers, mot usually any co worker problems. Customers I can usually turn the, around because I listen and explain things to them. It usually ends on a good note!
