I was employed for Allied Universal as a security professional for the clinics in Lawrence Massachusetts and worked for a year and few months. All went well, had a decent team, decent pay, and it was pretty easy. I formed a good relationship with our account manager who’s name will be anonymous up until recently. I had to quit to take care of my mother due to her breaking her back. I do realize that I did not provide a two-weeks notice but all this came suddenly and I could not wait two more weeks as she was a fall risk and she needed someone to take care of her. So I quit and notified the Site Supervisor, Command Center and this account manager himself via text. I even let former co-workers know what happened so they could forward it to him. Long story short, mom got better and I felt comfortable enough to return. But before I returned I ran into my former coworker who let me know that my boss has spread gossips about me including that I quit for no reason and uttered other untrue things. I changed my mind and decided I was not going to work for someone who gossips about employees behind their back. This account manager is notorious for doing this because he has talked badly about past employees to me in the past. It’s very disrespectful, childish and unprofessional. I was also the only one who spotted knives entering the clinic because no one ever paid attention enough to report them.
