It was a very good job with good pay and benefits. I was able to earn my MBA then advance into management roles. In management, I started as a supervisor in call centers and advanced on to become Regional Operations Support, a role that I enjoyed as it challenging.
After 9/11 we were first responders keeping the community afloat.
I was able to help my customers by providing a more personal approach to their needs. Verizon gave us great training and outstanding incentives for taking care of our customers.
They encourage team work. They have weekly "huddles" in which they have news & performance updates and take questions and comments. They have work and health "challenges" you can participate in. They also celebrate holidays with snacks and free meals and decorations.
