Good Morning Community,
Are we experiencing a Now Society? Lately, I can help but feel everyone expects results right away. As a business owner, I come into contact with several new people per day. One of the things that stands out when talking to them is they want it done Now! Answers Now! This isn’t always the case, we all would like to know I got the job. The job is done. Sometimes it takes time for the results, or the job to be completed. Yesterday, I arrived at the customers home to provide a quote. After I gave the customer the estimate, and they accepted the price, they expected me to do the work that day. I clearly explained that it would be done the following week. She replied, I thought you would start and finish it today? After clearly explaining that I wouldn’t be able to do it until the following week. This was also written into the estimate. Clearly stated in the estimate, and she still wanted it to done today. I explained to the customer, it wasn’t fair to my other appointments. This lady went bonkers over it and was ready to cancel the job. After letting her express herself, we came to the agreement. With that said it had me thinking more about it. Working in the Home Repair Business can be difficult at times. Over the years, I come to learn many people neglect the basic home maintenance. When something goes wrong they panic and go into over drive. Are you doing the same when applying for a job. Are you expecting to be hired on the spot? This can be disappointing, when you are searching for work. You send in your resume, had the interview, and they tell you we will get back to you. A few days go by and you still haven’t heard back. The thoughts start running through your head. I guess I didn’t get the job. They hired someone else. Then you get the call your hired! Do you feel the same way you did when you applied? Do you allow it to affect your performance? Something to think about when applying for the job. Answers do not always get answered right away. With this said are you expecting result today? Hope you have a blessed day! #mythoughts #wisdom

Good Morning Community,
It’s Tuesday Morning, the sun is shining, the perfect time to jump into finding your New Job.
PRODUCTIVITY How much time did you spend procrastinating today?
It doesn’t matter how smart you are; if you can’t get yourself to buckle down and actually do your work, you’ll never achieve your goals. Of course, the portion of your brain that’s focused on the long term knows this well – but it doesn’t always steer the ship. Social media sites, cat videos, and random urges to Google “how much does a chimp bench press” often put your short term-focused lizard brain at the helm, breaking your concentration and destroying your productivity in the process.
This will help you to fight against those distractions, improve your actual ability to focus, and boost your overall productivity. The end goal: Accomplish more in less time. If you can master your productivity, you can get a ton of stuff done and still have free time left over every single day. #wisdom #advice

Volunteering your time, money, or energy to help others doesn’t just make the world better—it also makes you better. Studies indicate that the very act of giving back to the community boosts your happiness, health, and sense of well-being. Here are seven scientific benefits of lending a hand to those in need.
- HELPING OTHERS CAN HELP YOU LIVE LONGER.
Want to extend your lifespan? Think about regularly assisting at a soup kitchen or coaching a basketball team at an at-risk high school. Research has shown that these kinds of activities can improve health in ways that can length your lifespan—volunteers show an improved ability to manage stress and stave off disease as well as reduced rates of depression and an increased sense of life satisfaction—when they were performed on a regular basis. This might be because volunteering alleviates loneliness and enhances our social lives—factors that can significantly affect our long-term health.
- ALTRUISM IS CONTAGIOUS.
When one person performs a good deed, it causes a chain reaction of other altruistic acts. One study found that people are more likely to perform feats of generosity after observing another do the same. This effect can ripple throughout the community, inspiring dozens of individuals to make a difference.
- HELPING OTHERS MAKES US HAPPY.
One team of sociologists tracked 2000 people over a five-year period and found that Americans who described themselves as “very happy” volunteered at least 5.8 hours per month. This heightened sense of well-being might be the byproduct of being more physically active as a result of volunteering, or because it makes us more socially active. Researchers also think that giving back might give individuals a mental boost by providing them with a neurochemical sense of reward.
- HELPING OTHERS MAY HELP WITH CHRONIC PAIN.
According to one study, people who suffered from chronic pain tried working as peer volunteers. As a result, they experienced a reduction in their own symptoms.
- HELPING OTHERS LOWERS BLOOD PRESSURE.
If you’re at risk for heart problems, your doctor has probably told you to cut back on red meat or the hours at your stressful job. However, you should also consider adding something to your routine: a regular volunteer schedule. One piece of research showed that older individuals who volunteered for at least 200 hours a year decreased their risk of hypertension by a whopping 40 percent. This could possibly be because they were provided with more social opportunities, which help relieve loneliness and the stress that often accompanies it.
- HELPING OTHERS PROMOTES POSITIVE BEHAVIORS IN TEENS.
According to sociologists, teenagers who volunteer have better grades and self-image.
- HELPING OTHERS GIVES US A SENSE OF PURPOSE AND SATISFACTION.
Looking for more meaning in your day-to-day existence? Studies show that volunteering enhances an individual’s overall sense of purpose and identity—particularly if they no longer hold a life-defining role like “worker” or “parent.” #wisdom #share
Same as Ford Simpson. I don’t have time for Drama and I could care less about what “Debbie from HR” did this weekend. (That was purely a made up scenario however I have been told stories like that). I’m there to work, not gossip, not start drama, to WORK
