I was recently fired from my position as assistant restaurant gm after the person I was up against for the position and her cronies went to my district manager with allegations of me using drugs.. After I was called down to the office I offered to go for a drug test through their clinic or get a hair follicle test at my own expense and they refused and fired me.. Is this even legal??

I was fired for rumors going around work.. I was an assistant gm for a restaurant and the person I beat out for the position went to my dm with her cronies and made false allegations of me using drugs.. I even offered to take a drug test through the company clinic and even take a hair follicle test at my own expense and they still fired me... Is this even legal?

went to work for a company named solgar in Leonia New Jersey at first everything seemed to be fine then I noticed that me and a few other people weren't getting the top assignments granted I understand that I was basically new but the assignments we were getting not actually doing the work that the company did when I inquired as to why this was happening a week later I was promptly fired under further investigation I found that there were very few black people there and the ones that were there didn't ask questions or question what assignments they received I can see most of the workers there or either Colombian or from some other foreign country me and 3 other people there were black an American come to find out we were systematically fired after only 3 months I think it's because they just want to have some tokens there then after they showed us off we were systematically fired I think that these business practices were totally unfair I was hired I did my job I was never late and I never missed a day I was given no reason for being let go again was not able to recoup my belongings didn't think racism existed in major companies in 2017 boy was I wrong

Hi. I worked for a Glass company in Motaine Ohio. I was on approved FMLA. The day I was to return to work. I was terminated. Now I had never had any verbal written or any type of disclinary action. It took me by surprise that this happened. When I called to find out why they would not return my calls. It put me in a deep depression. I haven’t been able to find a job since October. I’m on unemployment but that barely covers bills. I have been in several interviews an I’m either over qualified or theybdontvtetun my calls. I actively search everyday. I have worked in the transportation /Logistics field for 18 years. I need to know if I have a case an if there is a lawyer out there that can help pro bono. Please help. In desperate need of work. Thank you.

I was a corrections officer for 1 year and a half. One morning I was given a letter by an inmate. That inmate said to me "You are the only I can trust will do the right thing with this , Please read it and you do what you think you should do with it..." I told him okay and inside the letter it talked about an officer with the department being involved in something that if true was being covered up. So after sleeping on it , I decided to give it to my supervisor and let them deal with it however they felt they should...One week later I was moved to Second shift for no reason what so ever after being on first shoft since the very first day I started..Then around 3-4 days later I was pulled aside after working my shift and asked to stay late to have a talk with my corporal. Well after waiting 30mins I decided to go outside and put all my gear in my vehicle . On my way to my vehicle I noticed the captain of the jail, the captain of the department and the sheriff coming from behind the building...I was approached by the sheriff and cursed up and down , yelling at me and saying "don't you know that everything in that building is recorded?" I said yes sir why? "Then whats going on, what are you doing?" I asked him what exactly he meant, what was it I was doing? He proceeded to tell me that I knew what I had done and I would be lucky not to end up on there with them guys!" He asked for my badge and my radio and I kept telling him as I was handing it to him that I hadn't done anything wrong at all... He asked me to bring my uniforms on the next day...but I was never given a reason why I was being fired.. I applied for unemployment and was successful in receiving it because when they checked with the department and asked why I was fired...they could not provide a reason at all...im just curious of there could be some type of action taken against the department or county or ? I was never written up at all the entire time I was employed with the exception of being late a few times..Now I am finding it very difficult to get.job in this town.....any help that I can be given would be great!

I was sick and i told my manager i wasnt coming to work the next day. I gave him 24 hours verbal excuse. I end up in the hospital the next day for the flu. My temp was 102. I then messaged him to let him know i was going to be out for a couple days with a excuse. I came back and he cut my hours and i ask him y? He said because i called out when i never called out since i been there. I get sick he cut my hours. I told him im going to the laborboard about tge things that was going on in the resturant. The next day he came in he fired me. He said if im going to be there talking shit he didnt need me there? Should i go to hr or should i go straight to the laborboard?? Help please

I know this lady who is over 65 and was fired from her job. The powers that be claimed she was rude to someone. Now in all the time I've known her, she was NEVER rude to anyone. She did more work in 1 hour than many of the staff did ALL DAY! And just 1 complaint ? They didn't do any investigation that I am aware of; it was just BOOM YOU'RE FIRED. She said to me, "What am I going to do, I'm over 60 and this is all I could get...." I told her I would help with references if she needed them, but this is chicken sh** And we have no legal recourse...'Employment at Will' and all that rubbish! Who ever came up with that should be horse whipped; with a real horse! I've seen far too many 18 to 30 year olds who are useless lumps. They only got hired because they were one of the "chosen families" or "one of us" or they were related to the right ones. Where I live this is a way of life. We have a county clerk here who was convicted of drunk driving and possession of cocaine and guess what, she still has her job. Being married to the sheriff has its perks. Well I guess its time to get off my soap box, so Adios Amoeba!

A supervisor put his hands on me to hold me in place as he scold me, i stopped, looked at his hand, he retracked his hand and i walked away. He ran up behind me and told me to go home, when i returned to work the following monday i was suspended and later terminated. I won my unemployment case and reported the case to local authorities. What can i do about that? Is that wrongful termination and can i sue?

HR ALONG WITH MANAGEMENT now i have no career they rook away all that was important to me.. I was a successful manager for 7 years! I did bot have a turn over of employees they all were loyal to me as a manager and successful with doing their jobs. HR WAS always herasing me they could do anything because of their statues HR. Sending disrespectful emials about me throughout the company. I decided to relocate well then i had HR in the building. I heard cussing, hate, sae favortism i even heard one of the women say take the chew out of your mouth or i wil cut throat i cant remember what day it was by with her it was cut throat thirsday or punch throat friday. I would honestly have to read. My emails to remember the facts on the days. I was a manager 2 i moved up with this company and was very close to my employees they respected me. Inwas told i could not be this way with them. Even though it was all professional manner. Winning them awards dor their station. Later I got sick I continued to try i took the demotion n relocated for a very small amount of pay. Was told i would receive an offer letter and i did. I was to work day shifts was getting off at 3 great I could schedule all my cancer treatments before 5. To sum it lupbtwo days before i was going in for this surgery i was called in and told i will work over night shift nows! I was already in so much pain also the work was verrry physical i did have my surgery i went back for two days. I felt like inwas going to die. HR not one call then i get his call from the same HR lady that where was i i was supposed to be back on the 1st thatbwasbinsane to me! I had just received a disability check. My company let me down HR did not help me my job was my life! I never wanted to let at the time my station down my doctor said his words if you continue with this job and allowing this manager and the HR department give you these serious anxiety attacks you can die! Oh might I add HR and the manager said i could handle this drama and work hard! What they knew was i was a walking cancer ball fighting for my life as well as fighting forbmy job!!!! I called HR to hear i was terminated!!!! HR LIES IN THIS COMPANY THEY ACTUALLY ACCUSE YOU FOR THINGS THAT NEVER HAPPENED! Also they accused me if smoking pot i stood said lets go take a test i dont do drugs! HR said oh thats not necessary NO it is my character my employees were all intimidated one even recorded the questions and i was writen up for saying shit. As they ruined orntried to kill my teust and my character with my employees like insaid in two interviews they clearly cussed at my employees. I wont take that i would never disrespect my employees this way so how can HR oh and then write me up because i said shit!!!!

Worked at Pittsburgh Mills Mall as account manager and was terminated today for absolutely no reason. I was told my company was changing directions. I worked running housekeeping. Everyone says the mall looks good for cleaning. Mall manager has unreal expectations for what is being paid for. Work was always done. Two regional managers for my company said mall looks good.
