Hi everyone. I am really struggling finding a full time job. I was at my previous job for almost 18 yrs I was laid off. That's what they told me.i was making good money. Being that I don't have an accounting degree. I found out they hired 1 person to do AP @ AR. I have 20 years experience as a AR Clerk and B2B Collections. They gave me my 4 weeks paid vacation and unemployed for 6 month. I got pretty luck because right when my unemployment went away. I got hired I was so happy. My boss was nice but she thought i wasn't the right fit. I was there for 90 days. She kept telling my that she didn't trust me and refused to train me on what the job entailed. All I did all day was releasing orders. I don't know what happened. I did make 2 mistakes but I was new and they did talk to me about it. I'm very confused my last day was Dec 5th 2018. I was shocked. She said. She didn't think I was a good fit and my filing was still not mastered. I didn't say anything and left. Im thinking to myself I was there for 90. I was always asking and taking notes. Maybe she didn't like me. That's crazy.. Well anyways I am doing what I can to put food on my table. I am doing odd jobs here and there like baby sitting and I'm trying schipt. Its better than nothing. I want to do what I am good at. I stay up till 2 or 3 in the morning to apply for jobs in all the web sites because they up load them at midnight. I am really frustrated I thought I was going to retire at my last job. I want to work but no one is giving me a chance. I just get calls from recruiters with lots of broken promises. I am going to take a excel class next month for free at the library because I only know basics. I am not picky I don't care what kind of company. Even working from home would be great. I am willing to work for 18 hr. I don't know what else to do. I'm running out of options. Because I collected uneployment last year they said I can probably apply next month because it will be a year I don't know if I collect unemployed from a job that I was only for 90 days. I don't have health insurance. I'm trying to get Medicare and nothing. I live in Illinois my zip is 60089. If there is anyone out there that can help get me a job I would really appreciate it. I'm tired of living like this. I pray every day that my time will come soon. Thanks for reading this Lisa

Looking for work in the Vancouver, WA area. I have three years experience as an Accounts Payable Associate. I am currently working towards getting my Accounts Payable Specialist certification. I am hard working and dependable and give close attention to details. I have worked in a government establishment as well as the non-profit sector. Please check out my resume.

I have been looking for work in the Accounts Payable field in the Vancouver, WA area. I have put in several applications and have gotten a few interviews, but no offers. I am starting to regret having taken a job in Okanogan County a couple of years ago. I thought it would be a good opportunity to get some experience under my belt, since the jobs I was applying for in Vancouver told me I didn't have enough experience. Now that I have the experience, they hear that I am currently employed, but more than willing to re-locate (my whole family is there and I mess them terribly) they back step because I need a little extra time before I can start a job. It's a big catch-22 and I am so frustrated and don't know what to do about it. I can't just move back without a means to take care of myself and I am miserable up here. Any advise?

I recently applied for an Accounts Payable job. I noticed in the job description that the company misused the word insure twice. I believe they meant to use the word ensure. I've already spoken to the recruiter on the phone and the odds are in my favor for getting an interview. I don't want to hinder my chances of interviewing by politely pointing out a simple error. I asked my brother for his opinion and his response was "Don't be stupid....you're the only one being judged." My brother is right; however, accounts payable requires attention to detail and it may be beneficial to point out the error. Additionally, I am no spelling or grammar expert so maybe it's not my place to mention it. What do you think I should do?

All, I have been looking for an accounts payable supervisor position for the past 5 months with no luck. I am currently with recruiters, headhunters, job sites and filling out direct hire applications. I went to all my recruiters and asked them directly if my salary range was right for the area I was looking in since I was not getting anywhere. They told me that it ranges from 60K to 80K and I was right in the middle, they just told me that they did not have anything in my area for months. If anyone has any leads on positions out there or anything on the salary information, I would greatly appreciate it.
