Love to bake

I've been a licensed cosmetologist for 7 yrs, and I have lost my passion. After having my first child, and currently pregnant with my second I have found a love for being in the kitchen. I've been a home baker now for about 3 years, and I'm having a hard time finding a baking job that doesn't require prior work in a bakery. For example I applied for dunkin donuts and I got an email saying I didn't meet the qualifications. I know I would do great if I had the opportunity....The struggle is real ya'll.

My biggest mistake while working at the bakery at Smith's food and drug was investing waaaay too much of my time physically, and emotionally. I spent so much time there, that I had become attached to , and quite fond of the people I worked for and with. I did anything and more than what I was asked, and covered people alot. Maybe because I had this strange idea that it could be more than just another job. I had gained seniority, on paper, anyway. Then I realized that when the manager hired her sister in the bakery, all I had put in the extra mile for, and even neglected my own family for, had gone out the window! Everything I invested in the workplace suddenly meant nothing. It hurt. Reality check : it really isn't what you know, it's who you know that will get you ahead.

Don't work there. The owner doesn't keep her word and yells at anyone she wants to and doesn't care if customers are there or not. Very mean person

I'm a certified Baker and cook with certifications in food preparation.

It sucks. Management and coworkers would blame every thing bad that happens on your head all in the name of being “new”
