What is holding people back from returning to work? This question keeps me wondering why people are still not applying for jobs? With all the companies looking to hire, people still are not applying. It’s time to break out and shine. Today is the perfect time to start applying for a job. Start at your own pace and grow into it. Yesterday at Home Depot in Taunton, MA. while I was in line waiting to cash out. I was approached as other in line were too. The clerk asked if we were interested in a career with Home Depot? She was asking random customers if they would like to apply today? Have you taken notice to the longer lines when shopping? This is do to the shortages of employees. Notice how shelf’s require stocking. Restaurants are struggling to find help. What is holding you back from returning to work?

Why do Recruters contact you for a job and ask you for your resume, etc. Then they do a call interview and state “I’ll run by my manager” and poof gone? Does anyone else have these ghosting issues?

Senior Executive Chauffeur at Elegant Limousine Charter

When I pushed my mom's car out of the garage at 11 years old and drove around for two hours, and did not wreck it, should have been an indicator of my dream job! I love driving, and in 2009, I finally started driving as a chauffeur. At 54 years old, I started driving in Austin, Texas. Now I'm a Senior Executive Chauffeur for Elegant Limos of San Antonio, Texas at 67 years old!

I already commute long distance to my dream job. I would not like having a shorter commute if it meant a mediocre job.

Preparing in advance is the key. Prior to the interview have a family member or friend role play to ask you similar questions you would feel most uncomfortable with so that you can do your best during a real time interview. Remember to answer with a response that is similar or relative to that same scenario or question being posed. Breathe in between your sentences calmly. Focus on the interviewers eyes so they hear and see the sincerity.

Rosa, you could be right in being prepared by rehearsing the interview with relatives & friends. However, I still believe it would be quite different when doing with the actual hiring manager. I just don't know what & how they think about me. The interviewers might smile and say my resume looks interesting. But they still seemed to be in doubt & kept asking me more questions about my work experiences. Also one time I did an interview at CI Actuation. I remember the hiring manager asked what will I do within next 5 years. I just did not expect that kind of question. My mind just went blank. Lastly I just answered not sure.

Yes, I would definitely consider because I would not be putting a ton of miles on my car or gas to get back and forth.

I've been working since I turned 15. I've been over seas on navy vessels, a electrician for 4 years and now back to where I started. #advice #education #training #beenwondering #inspiration

To the job seekers. I'm in the same situation but determine to keep trying. Some of these classes want you to take out a personal loan or even try to get a student loan. I've asked if I didn't qualify to have someone to co-sign and if they didn't qualify maybe the state will pay for the classes for you. I believe this was a commission for the representative. My truth this is wrong and we're looking for work.

Does it matter to you? Teamsters are taking a crack at unionizing #Amazon warehouse by warehouse, which may have different results than what happened in Bessemer, #Alabama earlier this year.
