I was supposed to have a job interview today at 4. At 3: 30, the interviewer sent me a TEXT MESSAGE, of all things, saying she needed to reschedule. That felt really unprofessional. Would you give it another chance, because it took me quite awhile to prepare. I don't like it. #interview #losangeles

Ask yourself if they would give you a chance if you were the one calling/asking for a reschedule. I don't think so. You don't want to work for these people.

When I was interviewing potential candidates for a huge sales company I worked for, I almost never hired based on simple Q & A. I looked for people who have uniqueness, not units who follow commands. Now keep in mind that you, as an individual, have a skill that nobody else can match. "You can be you."

Your interviewer will usually have I thing in mind: Whether or not you will be a catch, or just another bill for accounting. That's why it's important to know your worth. Show them what you can bring to the table. Impress them with confidence in your skillset by speaking with conviction and humility. Be honest and transparent. Grow accustomed to them by holding an impromptu conversation over like-minded topics. Give that ideal impression that will always be remembered. BE LIKEABLE! Remember, you're potentially spending around 40 hours a week, 52 weeks a year around each other. Often times, coworkers become family.

I’ve noticed that people who speak in exceptional English format are more known to get rewarded opportunities & higher pay. Even though they might not be the brightest. They contribute the gift of gab & do well under pressure. I seem to fold when I’m getting interviewed. I have great confidence and I speak with intelligence. Why do I speak formal on a regular basis, then when I get interviewed I stumble? Anyone else has this issue? How do I overcome this flaw? I agree that job interviews can be stressful. I have asthma and sometimes this can cause an anxiety attack. Drinking tea seems to calm me down at least after a stressful situation.

Looking for a long term job where I can learn and grow, as well as find purpose!

I'm not sure, but I tend to do somewhat of the same thing lol! I do ok in the interviews, but then when it comes to the first day and week...that's when I fold. I think its totally normal to get super nervous for an interview. I dont know, Im not sure what my damn problem is bc I end up quitting within the first two weeks lol

These three words literally make me want to vomit. One person, the interviewer, is determining whether you are a "good fit" for a position based on their personal perception. If it's a group interview, then it's on their personal perception. I feel my resume, experience, education, had no bearing in their perception, just their personal feelings.

The scripted interview questions based on someone's studies are also another point of concern. Anyone else feel like I do?

I get it, work is work and when you need to get paid, you do the job, but I'm not sure I would want to work as a scab. A scab is someone who works for a company while its usual workers are out on strike. Saw this article about recruiting scabs and wondering if YOU'D WORK AS A SCAB? #shareyourthoughts in the comments.

I can eat hot or cold turkey sandwiches until a 20lb turkey is gone and then I break the wish bone and wish for more turkey.

NEVER enough (probably 4-5 days before freezing is a good idea though)
