I recently left my job at a small college that I was at for 8 1/2 years for a major university. I've only been here a little over a month, since October 14. Recently I've been feeling " homesick" I guess you can say for my old job. I think I feel this way for several reasons: 12 hour days now and having to travel, compared to 8 hours and being close to home. I have kids (12 & 4) . Has anyone ever felt like this? I've had a few friends that left our old job and said the grass isn't always greener on the other side and I feel like I'm starting to feel that way. The job is also completely different. :-/
It is easy to loose sight of our goals. When we do, we loose sight of all the hard work we put in to our career. Remember your purpose and keep doing what you are doing. Good things take time.
