Hey everyone! Swifthawk here! Okay. So as you all know I work as a cashier at Walmart. Now don't get me wrong, I'm very thankful for the job, but everyday it feels like someone is stabbing me over and over in the back. It's causing me to limp, it's causing me to wince, yelp (literally yelping like a dog) in front of the customers, it's causing me to move slower than I want to (I move very fast nowadays), it's making me feel like I'm going to break my spine. Now, I'm not asking for any kind of pity on this, you know what I mean? I get that a lot of people out there are also going through pain like that. Now here's my question: Will Walmart accept it if I asked them to switch my position to something more easygoing? I've come to learn that I cannot work as a cashier because of the sharp pain in my back.

Wow! You're so young. I hope it's nothing serious. Take care :)

Not sure what to do about my current situation , I have a job that I've been at for a week now but honestly I only took it because I had nothing else at the time. It's just not for me but I can't quit either. II am in need of transitioning to another job immediately. I live in Pinckard , Alabama and would be open to work for anyone or any company out there. When people ask me "what are you looking for?" I didn't know what to say at first but after doing it for almost a year I would rather be a Cashier or Warehouse Worker. It's what I'm good at. Does anyone have any suggestions on what I could do or help me out ? I'm open to anything even if it isn't cashier or Warehouse Worker. The only thing I am trying to avoid is Fast Food. #jobsearch #cashier #warehouse

Well being a cashier u do handle money. If u work at Kroger or Meijer u r responsible for scanning the people's food make sure it's bagged properly. But the main thing is u r responsible for your till. Your money n your register u til time go home. It needs to all add up to what u took n and counting out at night. U also help your co worker out if they need it and your not busy.

learn the register depending on job as well as give back correct change.. Some registers are easy some are harder but doesn't take long to get the hang of it

They do promote from within for other departments. Interview for customer service or the apparel attendant position. You would also answer phones and page managers, customers and other employees. Ben there, done that and loved my job.🌞
