I am one who oftentimes thinks about what I'm thinking about. I've been thinking about forks in the road. I think we all find ourselves standing at these forks and wonder, "Which way should I go?.." And then after we step down that road a spell, we wonder, "Should I have taken the other road?" This happens to me often and I find myself frustrated that I can't take both roads because I just know that everything would turn out differently on the other road, yet there are spots down this road that I need too, so why can't I travel both and have the very best of both worlds? Yeah, I know, thinking about what I'm thinking about. What fork did you face today? Do you feel like you chose the right one? Do you wish your choice would have been the other one? Well, I guess once we take that step we must believe it's the one we were meant to travel, regardless of the number of speed bumps along the way, because we know the other road has bumps too. All of us struggle, have challenges, feel pain, and even feel like giving up sometimes. Without these, though, we wouldn't experience their opposites that make it all worth it. Without the bad in our life, we would not be able to recognize the good. It's that way for a reason, I think… Isn't our struggles a way of measuring our growth, our progress, our ability to move forward?.. So, if we're already on that road, shouldn't we only think of the ways we can make it the very best choice? And if we are to do this, can't we take it a touch further and look forward to the challenges that are sure to surface and not view them as a hindrance, thus hindering our results, but instead as a blessing that will catapult us much further toward that destination, the place that set us on the road to begin with? Isn't it true that no matter where we may be, or where we are going, we can get there from here?... #choices #struggles #decisions #opportunities #rewards

I am so stuck right now. I left my job at the end of 2016 because of an unsafe work environment. Was on disability because of it for almost a year. Went back to work as a temp at the end of 2017. The assignment ended and now I'm trying to focus on whether or not I want to be my own boss or continue to look for a real job. I know i want to be my own boss but not sure if I'm going to succeed. writing is my passion as well as cooking. So it would be one of those two things but hard as hell to get the ball rolling when you have no money to get you there. Ugh - rock and a hard place.

During a wonderful company take over our new boss informs us that now, we can either get paid during lunch and eat it at our desk OR not be paid and get lunch outside of work. Lunch is only 30 minutes and I need to leave the office sometimes for a break so I don't go nuts, ya know? But if I do that, I will end up making less money per year as I am paid hourly. What should I do? : (

I live in PA, how much do you think a person needs to make an hour to be able to pay rent or mortgage, utilities, cell phone, groceries, but new clothes for self and kids maybe 2/3 times a year (start school, Fall/Winter, spring/Summer) not designer clothes, tv/internet, and own a decent used car and insurance/gas/upkeep to get to work and get around to shop, and maybe have a little fun once in a while?? Also is it worth it to go back to school at older age if you aren't making tons of money and have student loan to pay back? Does student loan go by how much you make as a living monthly or the same amount owed no matter what your income? My typing stunk years ago and I have no stomach changing adult diapers or cleaning up vomit as far as careers go? I wish all jobs were 9 to 5 m-f. I need a job now but also need to go back to school to hopefully make a livable wage while my stbx is still pay in bills. Kids live with me (16 & 11) daughter graduates in 3 years, son has 8 more years. Husband is still paying because of kids not me, he works nights and lives next door with his girlfriend, she's on social security for psychological reasons. I need financial Independence, cant depend on a man in future, I love men not a hater but need to be realistic, prince charming isn't coming around to help me pay bills, lol. Plus I have two kids. Has anyone on here had not a definite job path and taken a career test to see what would be good for them and it actually worked.
