My advice would be the best at whatever the job may be.

Was hired as a store manager...during my training, the training manager would make discriminate comments against employees and costumers to me. I brought it to my managers attention and was fired one week later.

They ride the clock for lunch breaks they take over money from cahiers drawer and not report it.the management has been known for cursing and being rude with customers repeatedly

My boss Dominic was cool and that's it!! I WAS CHOKED BY MY MANAGER DURING MY SHIFT! Yes that actually happened, in the back room, it was terrible

I love working at dollar store but my mom got sick and they told me no one to cover me but my mom came first

Working in mt. Vernon Illinois was ok but working in Oklahoma city Oklahoma was a nightmare. The district manager was very negative and lied about some things when i wanted to transfer out of his district so I was unable to work for dollar general corp. ever again and i was an excellent worker and never was a problem also was the assistant manager but he ruined it for me.

Don't work for them. I put in 12 years and I worked 7 days a week and only got to use one week of vacation time for myself in at least 7 years, the rest went back into the store. I even pulled several open to close just to help out other stores. They don't care about their employees. They don't ensure your safety and will terminate you if you attempt to protect yourself. They promoted a woman who tried to rob us at gun point even after 3 of us told them who it was along with 3 customers who witnessed it.

I worked 8 years there, they where good to me. Ran the merge and set many shopping records....
