I had recently been let go from a bank with whom i had worked for 30 yrs so i applied at u s bank and they hired me almost immediately because of my experience

They are a great company to work for. They have really good benefits.

I am so happy to announce I have accepted a full time permanent position with Automotive Credit Corporation's legal dept Michael Andrews & Associates as a Bankruptcy Specialist. I have been there since mid October on a temp to perm assignment. This is an awesome place to work. They have so many activities and benefits for their employees. One day they announced a scavenger hunt in the middle of the work day just out of the blue and my team won. The prize was a $10 US Connect card for the vending machine. I was a tempt then. Once hired I receved a gift bag with all sorts of goodies, a logo embossed throw blanket and a very nice logo jacket. I even have a mini spinner under my desk so I can peddle while I work. There have been multiple events. Just Thursday we participated in Habitat For Humanity and painted a house. This is the first place I have been where "team" is not just a word in the mission statement I really feel part of a family. My 3rd day my car broke down and my supervisor was willing to take me home and it's 30 miles in a different direction than where she lives. The salary is also a great incentive, I received a bonus my 1st paycheck. No age discrimination obviously lol there are people of all ages, races, and genders in positions of leadership. So excited to be part of this team and looking forward to this new journey! #Over50Professionals #StayMotivated #GreatPlaceToWork #5YearJobCaser #Happy5thJobCaseAnniversary

I liked the fact that at sometimes the work needed to be done by and at a fast pace and other times I could just take my time and do a really great job on what I was working on.

I left to the mortgage industry during the late recession, due to age my agility is restricted.

of the flexibility to work from home. With my last position, I did not have to commute everyday to an office. I also liked the ability to set my own hours. I was not locked into a "normal" 8-5 workday.

Employers are required to distribute 2019 W2s by January 31, 2020. If you haven't gotten yours yet some employers let you access it online through a paycheck provider, and make sure to check that you have the right address on file if you've moved since sometimes they're sent to the wrong place.

I've started getting paperwork for my taxes, and it's something I've always dreaded dealing with. I try to be proactive and start around now because I know it can be a slow process.
One thing I found recently is that the IRS does offer assistance for those who need help in filing your taxes, provided you fall under certain categories - for example, if you've got a disability, have difficulties with English, or you're elderly.
The IRS has a description of those programs, and a tool for finding organizations that can help. Check it out here:

These services are run by volunteers, so please be kind! And if you have the skills to help out, these organizations can be a good way to support your community in something we all have to go through.

Beautiful landscaping with plenty of parking as well as beautiful office space. Jack Hilton was wonderful to work for. He’s a fair and generous man.
