I was in a zoom interview recently and I thought the interview went well. I sent a 'Thank You' email after the interview. Approximately 1 week later after I did not hear anything I sent an additional email to my potential boss asking for a status update. I was told during the interview that they had someone else to interview yet so I was not too concerned with not hearing anything. Why do people not reply with a status? Looking for a job takes time and is stressful to me. After about 2 weeks I did receive the generic rejection email. How do you know if my thank you and status update emails were ever received? I debated about sending this but I thought it would be nice to hear some other thoughts. #followup #interview #advice
it is because they know they already hiring someone else for the position. some interviews i had like that if it takes more than a week to hear back it means you are not getting a job offer. if a employer really likes you they would offer you the job on the spot right after the interview but you didn't seem bold and likable.
Honestly I am old school with that..even tho it was done all online is would investigate for a company phone number...call it give them your name tell them you are calling to check on your application for employment...at first they might just take a message but if it is done every day you will be given to someone else.,in time normally with in three to four days of doing this you will be patched tho or given the number for the right person. With calling it shows you have more than just an interest in that job....they will either hire you or tell you to stop calling...and I have never had a company tell me not to call to check on a job.

He was a no-show to the zoom interview, that left me waiting for nearly an hour before carelessly disconnecting me. Then has the audacity to lie and name me as unreachable after not one person has attempted to contact me since I was rudely dismissed from my interview. A month ago I felt honored to be invited back for a final interview with this company. However, I have never experienced such brazen unprofessionalism. Please understand I do not lack integrity and I take pride in my strong, honest, and professional work ethic. With that said, if this is any reflection of what it's like to work for this company, then sadly this company is no longer a good fit for me. I won’t be able to reach my maximum potential in an environment that operates in this manner and regretfully am left no choice but to decline. I thank you for your time and effort but I have also decided to work with another recruiting agency. I hope you understand. }}}
I was stood up for my final interview through zoom. I was a few min early to the call after 5 min a guy joined the call and said the hiring manager was running behind and that he would be with me shortly. After waiting alone on the call for close to an hour the call was ended from their end. I redialed the zoom room and waited another 40 min. Before I ended the call. No one has reached out to follow up. I sent an email to the hr person who scheduled the interview the same day as the interview. That was two days ago with no response. How does one handle this? I don’t want to push if the person who dropped the ball is the hiring manager then they won’t want to hire me. But at the same time I feel I deserve a fair shot to the 3rd and final interview I was invited to. #advice #interview {{UPDATE}} After weeks had gone by I get an email back from the recruiter who initially contacted me about the job. He said he spoke with the hiring manager, who claimed to have called me right back after the call had been dropped.(lie) and get this had been trying to reach me for weeks but has had no luck.(lie)Then the recruiter asked me to please provide them with a working number so the hiring manager could get a hold of me. I’ve had the same mobile number for nearly 20 years. The same number the person who scheduled my video call, called me on. It’s the same number listed on my resume and further more the same one that had 3 missed calls all week. Each one not being the hiring manager, no emails from the hiring manager at any point and lastly no VM messages. To which I replied... #followup
Email the hiring manager or the person you interviewed with …thanking them for the opportunity to speak with them regarding the position and ask for an update on their plans for the position.

I have applied at a VOIP Corp that deals with #Vonage and RingCentral I have dealt with configuring Meraki, Palo Alto, Ubiquity Cisco Netgear, and other router/firewall devices to help VOIP traffic along also http/https configuration, IVR setup, doing their scripting because someone doesn't want to hire someone to do their Voice menus for them since they don't want to do them themselves. I interviewed back in May 2022 interviewed with the hiring managers for tech support. Was told I had great energy, seemed to the environment it looked good, then two weeks go by no word call the recruiter a number of ties I finally get a hold him and they said that there was a two year gap in my Employment history WTF !!!! There has NEVER been a two year in my employment history in MY life !! I supposedly get that resolved with the new recruiter that was assigned to me. Still no real response time they are new I give them a pass.
I apply for a "Provisioning Circuit" specialist, something I did daily as part of my position with a former employer so I knew how to be a phone number broker, configuration expert, IVR setup assistant, Voice Mail Actor. To say "We're sorry, but we're looking for people better qualified" JUST WHO THE FUCK ARE YOU LOOKING FOR THEN !?! The Clone Of Stephen Fucking Hawkins !?!?! I don't even care if these guys see this I don't !! I feel as if they bent me over and did me raw with out the courtesy of some lube !! DO NOT APPLY for positions , they provide you with ANY Feedback "ESPECIALLY" when you have the fucking skills to do at least 3 positions at the company !!! #ANGER #interview #followup #jobsearch #application

I applied at Walmart about over 2 or 3 months ago, and haven't received a call from anyone. About a week ago, though (thanks to @Lawrence White) I made a call to Walmart to talk to one of the associates that would help me get a job. She told me that a guy named Steve would call me to schedule an interview later that week, but never did he call. What should I do? I'm getting so sick and tired of Walmart saying they'll call me soon about the job, but they NEVER do! Can I get some advice, please?
