I was given the benefits summary after my 1st in-person interview. The next day they sent me background check form to fill out. Once I sent that back they scheduled a second interview with 2 other people. Would you say I got the job?? #interview #followup #advice #backgroundcheck

I have been applying to several positions on line, and I’m experiencing the same thing.

Someone told me that they believe it is because some of these companies are getting grants due to the Covid situation, and to continue receiving the funds, they have to post the jobs. It is similar to people who are unemployment, and say they are applying for jobs which are listed, but they really are not doing that.

Anyway, that idea makes good sense. No wonder I have applied for so many jobs, and I’m receiving zero responses.

What do you think about the fine line of giving advice and being told what to do? Being told what to do is family oriented to my own experience. The best advice to me is from people who know me well, has my best interest whatever our relationship is. #advice #jobsearch #interview #application #followup #workfromhome

I was recently contacted by a Regional Government agency to interview for a Senior Level position. I passed the initial interview with the VP of HR. The next step required the submission of a 2 page project plan for managing an inaugural EOY event. I worked on the plan for 2 days which included deliverables and a timeline. It was very detailed, colorful and professional. I submitted the plan before the due date. I reached out via email and voicemail requesting acknowledgment of receipt. I HAVE RECEIVED NO RESPONSE. I personally think NO Acknowledgment, good or bad, is inconsiderate and extremely unprofessional at all levels. I can not imagine WHAT would cause the non-responsiveness. #interview #jobsearch #followup

So I did a job interview on last week. Which I personally think went well for an ER position. She had me do a 2 our shadow shift training. Just so I could see how things run in the ER. Well that was Monday and I haven’t heard back yet. When I went to go look at the status of the application it says “interview process closed” could that possibly mean I didn’t get the job? #advice #interview #followup

I interviewed for a job at a company that I would really like to work at. It has been 2 weeks and I have not heard anything back yet from my first interview. The company recently posted 2 new job openings for other positions that I am also qualified for. Do I need to wait to hear back from the first interview before applying for other positions with this company? I do not want to hurt my chances for the job I already applied for but also do not want to miss out if they have decided to pass on me without a rejection email. #jobsearch #interview #advice #followup

Yeah it keeps you more extensively on file as far as an applicant with that particular company. It's a wise choice to make.👍🏾
