While less than 20% of applicants write a thank you email, 9 out of 10 interviewers say doing this can increase the chance of getting hired.

So how do you find the hiring manager's email if it's not in the job posting? You need to become an internet sleuth!

One of the first places you can look is on the hiring manager's social media channels.

How else can you find the email to continue the conversation after the #interview? #jobsearch #followUP

I interviewed with FEDEX and was sent an offer letter. They said they would call me with a start date and have not heard from them. I even emailed them to ask if they rescinded the offer and have not gotten a response. Can they do that? No explanation nothing. With the holidays around the corner, it's really disheartening that they would treat someone like that. Totally unprofessional. #jobsearch #advice #followup

I fill out an application attach a resume and wait. I finally get a call for an interview, So please tell me why are they asking if I have experience if it's listed on my resume that I do. Did they read my resume, was my resume picked by a robot, It's just seems like a waste if time. #jobsearch #application #followup #advice #wordsofadvice #interview #hiringnews #fulltime #resume

Usually you should receive an automated response to confirm that they receive your application. If not, there should be contact info for HR or hiring manager that you can follow up in a week or so as a general rule of thumb. Good luck!
