Love working with metal. Watching something start from scratch and turn it into a train car

You need to be safety first. Pay attention to detail and be willing to work well witj others

I've been at FreightCar for 4 years now I seen a lot of changes since I've been there and most of them is for the good yes they do have a few management problems but other than that it's a great place a lot of people like to talk bad about FreightCar but most of them are lazy people....an FreightCar will take care of u as long as u come to work an do your best ..an the benefits and pay are great for this area-

The benefits are excellent. The pay depends on your skill level. But they holler quality but it's really about quantity very stressful

I got fired after 3 and 1/2 years because the other employee had been in trouble before. I had never been in trouble the entire time I was there

I like to weld it was a job I took pride in. I could stand back and see what I did. For me that was a good feeling of accomplishment

i enjoyed the people and the work enviroment and i got a chance for a chance of advancement and wanted a company that i could grow and retire from
