Hi everyone I'm new to this. Back in June, I lost my job with this very popular company and I was only there for 3 months. I was in the healthcare field, but was also doing sales. I was doing very well in my sales and was connecting with the patients as well. I also have an underlying illness that I'm trying to get taken care of which causes me pain majorly. Anyways, I interviewed with the woman who was my supervisor, but even though she tries to say that she was the one to hire me, she was not the one who called me back actually. This lady was pregnant and I am a woman so sometimes our hormones get the best of us! Well I am a spiritual person and my discernment led me to know that she did not care for me. Do I know why, no. However, within the three months she found something to get rid of me by stating that I was going off on one of the patients and HR believed her! They got rid of me for no reason! I did remember that call. I wasn't feeling well so the patient was actually yelling at me for no reason, so I was trying to reach out to management for them to take over the call! My supervisor at the time was off of work because she would always take off because of her pregnancy I guess. So I would report to another supervisor that was on schedule. This has caused me distress. THIS woman knew my child had just graduated from high school. This also caused me to go into AFib. I can't sue the company because this is an at will state. However, I just feel like justice should be served. I'm not sure if I'm using the right word or not but I'm a woman in my 40s and it's been hard for me to find any more remote jobs! I can't put down that job because of them firing me so now mind you I was without work for almost 8 months before I got that job! I just don't know what to do at this point because I am a good worker, a very clean background and I'm not willing just to take on any job! I have been driving for GrubHub but I'm not getting many hits! So I don't always make $100 a day and now I am behind in so many bills because of this lady who fired me for no reason and I'm not trying to be funny but I pray God deals with her! #termination #advice
Got The Job Got The Offer Letter BUT!!!! Then THE DISAPPOINTMENT HITS ME I AM SOO HURT 😢 😢😢😢🥺🥺
So I went in for an interview which was Truly inonly which was only supposed to be taken about 15 minutes which ended up going about an 2 hours
I the job on the spot and then got a text message with the word of prayer and encouragement
They also sent prayer for me during my surgery on today
And the this happens next 1 1/2 half hour later I get and congratulations and said they will see me on my start date
30 min later I get another text from the owner saying that they would no longer be able to hire me do to my background but keep in mind that what’s on my background was from 37 years ago and they are 3 misdemeanors which one end up being felony
I have tried to get the issue resolved and then to the fact that I’m trying to work inside of a daycare and they are misdemeanors which end up being Felonies
Theft by shop lifting at 16 & 18 and it was milk pamper and clothes
I’m trying to work inside of a daycare I’m not able to get a job I do not want to work the rest of my life in fast food any advice anyone truly
This was by far an awesome interview the best interview that I have ever had in my entire life
I am tryna clean up my background never thought after 37 decades I see these demons again

It appears that the most important thing for you to do is to get your juvenile record expunged. Consult with a lawyer. If you cannot afford one, go to your local courthouse and get directed to an office that does that work pro bono. Good luck.
I was called into the office today for taking too much initiative. I guess my boss felt like I was trying to take some of his tasks away from him and do them better. I was basically told to follow directions and not to go above my boss's head, if I finished my work and needed more things to do I need to ask before starting something new. This is just so weird to me because my work ethic has always been that of excelling and doing my best. This came out of left field. Where do I go from here? #advice
Hey it sounds like your supervisor or manager is threatened by your work ethic. They may feel like you are coming after their position. So if he/she writes you up enough on paper you don't seem qualified or ready to lead. I apologize but I wouldn't recommend you signing that write up. I would take that write up all the way up the corporate ladder. It could help or hurt your career. I speak for my work ethic when I say I always bet on myself.
Going over your bosses head sounds like you’re going above your pay grade. I’d it possible that you needed authorization on work you considered finished? There’s more to the story than you you telling others. I have the distinct feeling that you operated completely out of step with the company’s culture. It’s great to take initiative, but it sounds to me like you think a little more highly of your work than your boss and perhaps the people above him. Remember, if you were qualified for their position, you would have already been there.
I think there are lots of different jobs in the stores, I was there for almost 10 years, east to transfer to a different department and a different store. Everybody know that it really is one of the nicest retail stores, and known for the customer service!!
I was offered a job a month ago but it is a temp job through an agency. It's not great or really high paying but It's a foot in the door to something career-worthy. The background check is taking forever, though, apparently because I used to live in Illinois (I'm in Florida now) and it just takes a lot longer there for some reason. My question to you all is, because of the length of time of this process, do I have cause to negotiate for any concessions, like a bump in starting pay? I recently made a short trip back-home to say goodbye to a close fa member who was dying from cancer, I returned to work on a Sunday (which 5 employees were no call no shows that day) while at work I received a call that my family member had passed away. My hours this day were 8-4 but a fellow employee offered to cover for me from 8-9 whih he called th general manager and informed her of this change in the schedule and she tld him that was fine, on his day I was expected to price, tag and roll to the floor 500 articles of clothing in the back and run the front (Cashier) by myself as 5 people did not show up for work. I was off the next day (Monday) and when I went in Tuesday I went to the office to get the numbers for the day when the general manager began telling me that I would be training someone new on the register that day and because of “my little trip” the store was way behind in softlines production and the change in schedule had not been brought to her attention to be approved (lie) and people needed to realize she was the GM and we needed to treat her as such, she went on telling me about another employee barging in her office while she was in a meeting to eat her lunch. That night I got sick (4 family members came down with covid soon as I returned home from my trip) Wednesday morning I texted the GM to let her know that I was sick and would not be able to make it to work (the whole time I was on my trip-she never once responded to any text or answered my of my calls) she immediately responded that if I did not cover my shift that I was on a final (haven’t been given a first warning) and that it meant my job. To which I replied that was my in my job description and since he demanded we treat her as the GM she needed to do her job, the next day I texted her and tol her I have covid. On the 2nd I sent her a copy of my drs release when she immediately called to inform me that I need to return my keys and key card, when I asked if I had been fired the day I called in sick she had no response just repeated turn in my keys. So now I am without my loved one and my job 😢 thanks so much for caring Godwill oh I also reahed out to the district manager who did nothing not even the a text or call back. Any suggestions on what I should do or should I even do anything? Besides look for another job I pray I don’t get evicted in the down time

So, tell your recruiter to roll up his/her sleeves and get useful, do the job themselves. It looks like they did not make the job attractive enough to get your attention. I am sure you would not miss an interview if they provided a plus six figure wages.
