It’s different but it was my fist job so I was excited about it. I didn’t get paid because it was community service but I knew that when I get a real job it will be better.

Thanks to Habitat for Humanity, more than 2 million people worldwide know there's no place like home. The mission of the not-for-profit, ecumenical Christian organization is to provide adequate and affordable shelter. It has built more than 400,000 houses at cost for families. In March 2018 I served along with 7 other fellow church members with Samaritans Purse in Baton Rouge, LA. We repaired homes damaged by flooding that occurred in 2016. After I retuned home to Beaufort, SC I got interested in continuing volunteering to repair or build homes and contacted the director of our local Habitat for Humanity organiation (who is also a fellow church member). I have been volunteering ever since one day a week.

Basically talk to the customer, ask him what you help them with. Try to find out the root of the problem and work with him or her, be patient and positive about the information you're receiving and giving. Come up with a good solution for the rudeness or unhappiness causing the problem and work with a customer because I happy customer is a repeat customer.

Very informative; letting us know the vision behind our work and our desired goal in helping families get into their own affordable housing...
