Does anyone know if the new extension of unemployment benefits that the President spoke of applies to someone who is already collecting unemployment?

Not really I do appreciate them hiring me and working for almost 19 years but at the same time I feel a bit underappreciated I should be making around 20.00 or a little more an hour I'm grateful for having a job but I feel that I deserve more. #coronavirus #workfromhome

I don't believe that they do I've been with my job for almost 19 years and I truly believe that I'm worth more than what I'm getting. #coronavirus #workfromhome

For anyone out there who has lost a job as a bartender, bar back, or bar server and is experiencing an emergency hardship, know that there is relief out there specifically for you. Though this is run through the United States Bartenders’ Guild National Charity Foundation, anyone can apply regardless of their membership status. It's a tough time to be in the service industry; hang in there and keep fighting, we'll all make it through together.

I posted yesterday explaining how I am a gig driver! I thought this was an interesting article to read for my fellow gig workers. https://www.npr.org/2020/03/13/814587903/coronavirus-puts-financial-pressure-on-uber-drivers-other-gig-workers

Lyft, Uber, DoorDash, Instacart and others are offering financial help to those who have been diagnosed or put into quarantine due to the #coronavirus.

Instacart is introducing SICK PAY!!

A few other companies are discussing doing some sort of pool fund for for those who drive for more than one service.

Interesting food for thought.

Everyone has been talking about ''social distancing'' because of the coronavirus. My boss is assuming that deliveries will go up (I work at a pizza shop) but what if the opposite happens?

If we shut down I won't have any source of income. I have a family at home! What are my options-if any??

Many employees in the food industry will not get PTO during the Coronavirus epidemic which seems CRAZY considering they serve food daily. This exposes more individuals to any potential illnesses.

Companies should treat all workers the same and if they are not feeling well they should encourage them to stay home and offer their support!

A small handful of companies like Trader Joe's and Starbucks are supporting their workers and offering them paid sick leave, and for that we commend them!

This article discusses what exactly is going on in the foodservice industry concerning the Coronavirus. https://www.eater.com/2020/3/5/21166187/food-service-workers-without-paid-leave-cant-afford-coronavirus-quarantine

If you could stay home without pay and avoid Corona or come in and earn money and possibly be at risk, which would you choose?

Pay attention to safety details, listen to advice from people with senior time on project. Do your job, perform to your pay grade. Be nice and enjoy what your doing.
