The money they pay well for a warehouse job and the workout you feel like you've been to the gym especially with the 10 hr. Shifts

I came across this interesting read about workers' concerns of how the #Coronavirus is going to impact them. They are encouraging employers to revisit their policies... what are your thoughts?

Virginia has announced that the minimum wage will increase from $7.25 to $9.50 per hour starting on January 1, 2020. It will then increase to $10.50 on July 1, 2022, $11.50 on July 1, 2023 and will top out at $15 per hour.
The major downfall is that this bill continues to exempt farmworkers from the raise in wages. But, overall this is a great step for Virginia workers! What are your thoughts?

LA Fitness posted a job Indeed.com, for an opening for Personal Trainer stating the job comes with a salary of $1200-$4000. When I was hired I was told about a $6 per session commision. Which I never recieved. Only receiving an hourly rate of $9.75. The next surprise came a week later, stating trainers who didn't have sessions booked would not be paid. How can a trainer book sessions without working. Anytime an employee's does work for a company they should be paid. Yet clocking in to be paid, was not allowed. I called H.R. to report, I was referred to a V.P. Jordan Mathison, who was on site at the location already. In fact the "NO CLOCKING IN" statement was made by the VP. I persisted and transferred to the Regional Director was upset that I got is number and couldn't mask it when I proved my point about this unethnical behavior.

Yup it can be a tough road. I'm finally retired but am still interested in working. They all want to see my resume. I don't want to show it! The most common response is 'We can't afford to hire you". That is code for - your too old! Worked full time jobs for nearly 40 years with a nearly perfect record. No one wants a EE that used to make 100 k even to do a part time delivery job.

So thrilled to hear Microsoft is ensuring all of its employees, including contractors, will have economic security during this uncertain time. "the 4,500 hourly employees who work in our facilities will continue to receive their regular wages even if their work hours are reduced." That is walking the walk! https://www.cnbc.com/2020/03/05/microsoft-will-pay-hourly-workers-regularly-as-it-faces-coronavirus.html #peoplefirst
