Responsible for design and documentation for ideal assembly, test and manufacturability of assigned products using 2D and 3D modeling software. Hold design review meetings; improve production processes, develop and maintain design and prototype schedules. Focus on quality, continuous improvement and cost reduction. Interface with engineering, production, sales and marketing.
Must have experience with manufacturing techniques and procedures; aptitude in electronic production processes and the ability to work on a variety of tasks as needed. Must have experience with CAD and structural design software (e.g., RISA); an understanding and familiarity with IBC code requirements, weld, anchor and fastener calculations in fenestration, solar gain and heat conduction.
