Are technological advancements and the shift towards digital solutions affecting relevant Job Skills?

Here are ten job skills that are becoming less relevant in today's job market:

Data Entry: Automation and AI are taking over repetitive tasks.

Manual Bookkeeping: Digital accounting software is making this skill obsolete.

Telemarketing: With the rise of digital marketing, traditional telemarketing is declining.

Routine Clerical Work: Automation is reducing the need for routine clerical tasks.

Traditional Manufacturing Skills: Advanced manufacturing technologies are replacing traditional methods.

Basic Computer Skills: More advanced tech skills are now required.

Printing and Publishing: Digital media is overtaking traditional print media.

Cash Handling: Digital payments are reducing the need for cash handling skills.

Basic Customer Service: AI chatbots and automated systems are handling basic customer service tasks.

Simple Troubleshooting: Advanced diagnostic tools are making simple troubleshooting skills less relevant.

If you want to stay ahead, focusing on upskilling and reskilling in emerging areas is key! Remember, never stop learning. #AWU #disability #jobs

Pay attention to yourself in 2025! Why do you say that?

You will be like a tree planted by streams of water...[that is] a tree that produces fruit in its season.

Do you remember when Momma told you to Mind Your Manners?

Don't forget basic manners during the jobsearch process.

Being polite might seem like small potatoes when you’re hyper-focused on getting a new job. But it’s a big deal, especially if you’re up against a lot of competition.

One common mistake is forgetting to send thank-you notes after an interview. Everyone you talk with during the interview should get a note or an email where you can express your gratitude for their time and consideration.

Being courteous on the phone and or in-person interactions goes a long way in moving you forward to the desired job offer you are looking for. #AWU #disability #jobs #softskills

"Job Search"

Should you care about your Social Media presence?

Your social media presence can raise a lot of red flags for prospective employers if you aren’t careful.

Not having a presence on social media can send the wrong message. But posting something inappropriate on social media is probably even worse. Remember, anything a person puts on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, or any other app likely can be found.

Do not present the company with a problematic image. Regardless of whether you’re hunting for a job or not, it’s generally good policy to avoid posting anything you wouldn’t show your parents, partner, or pastor.

Don't talk negatively about your current or past employers.

Don't talk about getting drunk or high or questionable things you may have done.

All these things can negatively affect your job search. #AWU #disability #jobs

Listen carefully...

Activities during the year 2025, will not be the same in contrast to 2024.

Some people are sitting on the whim waiting to fall. Others are programed to fly, while a few are coached to soar beyond mountains tops at-a-simple glance.

Be in the 0.001% bracket to scale mountain tops ever to exist.

KEY: You must spread your wings broadly and capture the winds beneath your wings.

I Believe You Can...!

Failure is a strong area of contention that grows. The remedy is to cut it off at the roots before it grows stronger.

How to do it?

Develop actionable steps that work such as...

  1. Talking about your goals.
  2. Sizing your value system.
  3. Setting up your weekly agenda.
  4. Promoting your words by actions.
  5. Taking action and being practical.

Then, everything else falls-in-place.

I Believe You Can...!
