I don’t understand I keep doing phone interviews but never get an in person interview, it seems as soon as I say downsize due to management change. Is that wrong I was 1 of 7 let go from a company I worked for 13 years, I been out of work since December, am I doing something wrong?

I was laid off from a Job in March 2018 they recently posted the job again hiring 10 people I reapplied and was granted an interview but two weeks later I was told that they had found better qualified candidates! for a Job I literally did just over 1 year ago and for 3 years. I'm thinking there is more to it than that and I'm tempted to reach out to my old boss and ask him what happened, but I'm thinking it would probably be pointless. I found a job that I've been working, but it pays significantly less than my old job. I'm assuming the company has no requirement to rehire laid off workers, but it just doesn't seem right that they should do this to me I mean the interview was with my Old boss seems odd they would even waste my time with the interview if they had no intention of rehiring a displaced worker... anyway maybe I just needed to vent ,but I've been very confused and disappointed about this the last few days. #layoff #laidoff #rehire

To make the story short, I will be brief on the introduction: I was working as a Facility Coordinator, and I loved it. I got this Facility through a year long transition. The day I confirmed it was complete, my boss flew up to my location and relieved me of my assignment. I've recieved nothing but the highest of praises. I did accidentally break the email chain a few times, but who doesn't? Particularly when policy changes every week.. Any way, now I'm on the job hunt. I landed one already, but I had to turn it down after they offered me half of the listing salary. I now have an interview on Saturday for a good position in a drink manufacturing facility. Also, I received an offer through email for a high position at a Crypto Currency firm. I'm ecstatic and very hopeful that one, if not both of these opportunities are obtainable. I'm excellent at interviews, and I always pull my weight. I've been going through this losing my job at "no fault of my own" maze for a decade now. I'm over it, and ready to get established. Been working at my job for a year and a few months recently became pregnant 22 weeks i became sick brought in work note now they are saying they can't accommodate my work note i went to work today and got sent home because they are waitin to hear from hr what can i do i have four months til my due date and my doctor says i can work jus have to have breaks or can't lift and have to have frequent sit downs within a 8 hr shift im not understanding why i got sent home if my doctors note say i can work

I lost a really great job, lay offs. I could be upset and complain I sent off 100’s of resumes but I won’t. Instead I’ll focus on all the good things to come and know that if I have the faith the size of a mustard seed, I will be ok. I believe I will be fine. You should do the same. Don’t give up. Do the work, take the time to redo your resume. It will happen. I believe that , you should too.

So my employer back in february my employer paid me for 16 hours I didnt work because they cancelled two days of meetings. We were layed off so it was supposed to help us when we had to take a break in unemployment. I spoke with them that was confirmed. Now the end of may back to work they are making employees pay them back and not telling them just taking our overtime pay. They never said it had to be paid back no one knew and they never told us the money was just missing then the office told that. That is illegal and wrong right?

So here's my frustration. I have been unemployed for two months now after being with a company I loved but because of budget cuts, my position was the first to go. Now I'm in search of employment but the problem is according to all the interviewers I'm either over qualified or not qualified enough. I've literally applied to over 200 jobs and I've had over 100 interviews. What is wrong with me? I'm really starting to feel like I'm not good enough. Money is tight with only my husband working and I'm going to lose my home if something doesn't change very soon.

I got laid off my job of 12 years. Leadership needed to cut costs and make changes. Some got affected including myself. My unemployment ran out at 6 months. So, here I am a struggling single Mother with one teen. It’s been almost a year now and only landed 2 Temporary positions. They’re waiting on my prints to come back, before starting. With over 20 years of experience I thought I wouldn’t have any problems. It’s sad..I had over 20 interviews, but was given false hope of hearing back soon. I never thought it would be this hard...I just need a good paying career job. Lord knows, I can’t survive off of minimum wages, not with high rent, bills and a kid to support. Although, I’m getting so..tired some how I refuse to give up.

Well I was working for this company that got bought out by another company 3 months after I started working there . Well the new company sat and watched us employees for at least a month before they took over , they approached us to see if we wanted to stay. Well I took the job , well 21/2 months after working with the new company and at the end of my day they come too me and tell me I can no longer come to work till I bring in a Dr. note due to I had surgery on my right shoulder over a yr ago and I have limited reach with right arm , so as of that day I haven’t been able to return to work. Due to I have no insurance to go get Dr. note so I contacted corporate and still awaiting a answer to see if I can go back due to I told new boss of new company as of Day one I had issues with reaching up. So not sure what the out come is but it’s going on 2nd week and no answer . Not sure if there’s something I can do with this situation???? At a loss and now I won’t get a check well being left in the dark not knowing if I have a job or not . Won’t be able to pay my rent or my bills So frustrating. What can I do????

i worked for the same a/c company for 7 years and was laid off for no reason other than i moved, (several others live far from the job, including my supervisor). yet i had no problems with punctuality, and even offered to commute in my own vehicle. since then i have applied to several a/c companies with no responses. so i am expanding my search. i am a skilled tradesman, and can do just about anything. ive held a wide range of jobs, including painting, marble and granite, a/c maintenance, driving, and property maintenance. in which the latter is mainly what i am looking for.
