Previously, I worked for teleperformance twice. Once for about 1 year, then we moved. Then they started a work from home platform, which was awesome. I had to train for about 3 months, then on the last day of training and graduation, my car broke down. I was so mad. Then they laid us off, after two or three years. I think it was three years. I would of been promoted to mentor, if I had stayed there and worked on my performance much better. Anyways, if you were rehire-able, would you try go back to your old job, if you were like say, stuck in a bind money wise??? I'm age 50, and nobody wants to hire me, because I have medical issues, this company at least, knew I needed a break every 2 hours, which they did any ways, because if you're medically impaired they will work with you. Or would you accept another position,, that is some what better and has more accommodations for people like me? Sorry I have an intellectual/cognitive disorder, as well and have problems explaining things. What are my options??? accept my old job back, or go to this other job that wants me, and will work with me just, as well???

Would you ever hire this person again? If former supervisor says no and it's proven and you lose the job is there any legal recourse??

I just don’t understand how I can be qualified for positions that I’m applying for, which my resume clearly states experience, keywords etc..... but, I continue to get rejection emails that I’m not qualified! I’ve even applied to three former companies that I used to work for. I left in good standing with all three. I even took it a step further & called their corporate HR department to ask if I was eligible for rehire. They all said yes. I’m hitting three years of being unemployed!! I’m 57 years of age with 20 years of upper management experience. I’ve accepted taking a massive cut in pay & have applied for positions such as receptionist, clerk, sales retail, and their emails always state that I’m not qualified! I understand that the age is a factor, but I also see a lot of folks in my age bracket getting hired! I just don’t know what to do!! Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you my friends for taking the time to read my post!

I was laid off from a Job in March 2018 they recently posted the job again hiring 10 people I reapplied and was granted an interview but two weeks later I was told that they had found better qualified candidates! for a Job I literally did just over 1 year ago and for 3 years. I'm thinking there is more to it than that and I'm tempted to reach out to my old boss and ask him what happened, but I'm thinking it would probably be pointless. I found a job that I've been working, but it pays significantly less than my old job. I'm assuming the company has no requirement to rehire laid off workers, but it just doesn't seem right that they should do this to me I mean the interview was with my Old boss seems odd they would even waste my time with the interview if they had no intention of rehiring a displaced worker... anyway maybe I just needed to vent ,but I've been very confused and disappointed about this the last few days. #layoff #laidoff #rehire

Today I got a job offer ;) We went over salary, orientation date and I accepted the offer. BUT when the recruiter called me back she stated she got an rejection when she tried to out my information in the system. She said it kicked me saying I was not able to be rehire! I remember submitting my 2wks notice, this job was back in 2015. She said the manager was no longer there so there's no record of my letter!! ;( She advised me to send her an email stating why I left and why I want to come back and she will take it to the rehire committee tomorrow. She stress the importance OF STATING WHY I WANT TO COME BACK IN EMAIL. So, I did exactly what she told me, pray for me ya'll ! Have anyone ever experience this?

I officially got rehired at my job as a cashier at Walmart after leaving for awhile due to school. One of the managers even told me she was glad to have me back because I was a quick worker and the only cashier to speak conversational French (We are the third highest profitting Walmart in New York State and, due to our proximity to Quebec, get a lot of French speaking customers) I start tomorrow!

I miss my old job at Chevron . I had my customers and I really didn't know what I had until it my gone . I made a stupid mistake and quit without giving my two weeks notice . I didn't know that I would be screwing myself out of ever getting rehired back there or the other gas station Valero which is owned by the same company here in town. It kills me to see a help wanted sign in the window and to know that I would do just about anything to get that position.Jarad the district manger doesn't give second chances and I wish I just had the chance to tell him the important lesson I have learned from this experience . That I had a good position working at mountain supply company Chevron here in yreka and that I regret quitting and that I would give just about anything to get my position back but I know it's not possible. so for now I will continue working at this pointless job where I will never advance and in which I am not appreciated . And I will continue to apply at other positions in hopes of finding some position that might suit me but I know I will still miss my job at Chevron in yreka ca. The manager Sandy has retired and Geneva has became manger and I know she will be a great one . I miss my co-workers as well ,even the grumpy ones .
