..fire someone when there's proof against what they were supposedly fired for? My employer said I did something I didn't when it was proved that I was innocent I was told I was still fired..

Hey guys! So, I am a 32 yr old female who works as a correction officer on Rikers island. I am now at top pay making 94k which is great but I never stopped looking for other jobs. I am willing to take a pay cut for a peace of mind. So my question is: should I go for it & switch careers? Or stay at my current job because the pay is good?

If you choose this career, go to work, do your job and go home.

Most of the stress put on you at the Department of Corrections comes from the staff in which you work.

When I started working at the DC in 1991 it was a great job. When I retired it had became to political and dog eat dog.

It looks like we have some new ground rules to establish in the Workers Rights arena. This article talks about AI surveillance of workers and includes this oversight of communication best practice: “For now, workers on the ground don't know much about how the technology will be used.”

Jobcase Team is working on being more active in our advocacy of American workers, we look forward to helping businesses establish best practices from workers perspective (not just shareholders!). AI should work for us, not the other way around!

—(please drop any experiences you have had that might be similar to what our brothers and sisters at outback might be experiencing in the comments section - we’d love to learn more about current applications impacting us all)
