Applied for a brand marketing position, received a call to go in for an interview and was told to come in for a shadowing interview. I arrived at 10, was introduced to the employee I would be shadowing and then we were off. We got in his car and drove to a Walmart almost an hour away, I was very confused. We arrived and he unloaded a mini kiosk and we went off to the entrance of the Walmart. He sets up and tells me to write several lists throughout the day. While I was writing these lists, he tried to sell internet service to Walmart customers. Around 1 I asked him of the postion and he explained to me that everyone starts off as an account executive (entry level position) still confused I was patient. We ended up leaving at 5PM!!!!! After they told me it would be until 4 pm at the latest and we went back to the office to fill out a questionnaire and he hiring manager would review before he offered the position. It paid $400-600 a week based on commission, no benefits and I’d spend my days at stores selling internet services. Oh and they work 6 days a week. I was there from 10am to 8pm and that’s he usual amount of hours. It was a waste of time and insulting to offer me a position that did not match what I applied for and then I found out none of the positions matched, they were all the same. Very frustrated #wasteoftime # falselisting #frustrated #marketingmanager
