“we are in a new era where we have moved from a struggle for decency to a struggle for genuine equality..”
The arc of moral justice keeps bending in right direction, but yes, slowly. This day is always a good day of reflection for all of us to think about how we can help accelerate that arc in our own spheres of influence. I know I am. And if you are too - you might find this a helpful interview....

I'm always amazed by the enduring power and inspiration that Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s words had on those around him. His legacy of strength is the epitome of civic responsibility and engagement. As we approach MLK Day, I wanted to take some time to reflect...
Here is one of my favorite quotes. I believe that this applies to many parts of our lives. We may have some bumps in the road that feel like failures, but we must never give up! Disappointment is not forever.
There are so many beautiful ways to honor his memory, how are you marking the holiday?

Thanks to Mr. King, these 4th graders understand how important dreams really are! It's NOT too late to chase ours right? -------> We have got this!! http://www.wlwt.com/article/fourth-graders-tell-how-martin-luther-king-jr-touches-their-lives/15163840

I think about the great MLK Jr. today. A go-getter, a do-er, a kind and passionate person. When things get hard, you must remember this. We can't make excuses, we just have to keep going! So keep moving, keep striving for the top, and keep going. We are too strong to give up now.

Here’s a quote of his that resonates with me that I’ll be reflecting on today:
“The time is always right to do what is right.”
