No matter what it is, don't let anyone Antagonize you about what you're doing. Stick to your plan and when no one else has faith you put the faith in yourself. Landed a job today and hopefully land another on Friday. Keep the negative energy away! By Any Means Necessary.

I am not sure about you but I learned the song I'm A Little Teapot ages ago but as silly as the song is there are actually some lessons we can apply. Just as a reminder here is the song -

I'm a little teapot short and stout. Here is my handle. Here is my spout. When I get all steamed up, Hear me shout! Just tip me over And pour me out

I'm a clever teapot, yes it's true. Here's an example of what I can do. I can turn my handle to a spout. Just tip me over and pour me out

And now the lessons. The teapot is aware of what it is. short, stout and clever. It also has a clear and concise idea of what it is good at and is proud of its abilities.

The fact the the teapot is short and stout are seen as assets not liabilities and the teapot is happily living up to its full potential by being tipped over and poured out.

Are you the teapot? Are you seeing all that you are as assets and not liabilities?

A lesson from my own life is my oldest son stutters. Stutters tend to be highly intelligent people and the reason for their stuttering is because theirs brains process what they wish to say faster then they are able to say it.

The upside is you have to really listen to someone who stutters and allow them time to speak which will make you a better listener.

So today embrace all that you are and celebrate the fact that there is no one who is uniquely like you which is why you will get the job you are seeking.

I recently read an interview with Tony Robbins (I confess to not knowing much of his motivational programs but I do admire that he has accomplished a lot in his life and that he seems to have many people of all stripes that credit him with helping them in theirs). Anyways, I thought his answer to be pretty thoughtful - check it out...

Tony Robbins on best piece of advice he's been given "That’s a tough question because my life is constantly about getting advice from the best in the world. But if I had to narrow it down, I would say two pieces of advice. #1 [comes from] my original mentor, Jim Rohn. He taught me that the secret to life is to find a way to do more for others than anyone else is doing. If you want to be extraordinary as a friend or business person, as a father or a lover, find a way to add more value — especially to those you love the most. I’m obsessed by this focus, and I really believe it’s the secret to not only wealth, but real lasting happiness. In my soul I believe the secret to living is giving. The second piece of advice came from a man who at the time was the richest man in Canada — a brilliant businessman, billionaire, and entrepreneur. He taught me that proximity is power. He told me at the time that if I wanted to make a movie, it would be easy because I had so many clients who were producers, actors, and heads of studios; I’m around them all the time. In fact, they put me in a dozen movies at that time, without my even asking, because I was in their proximity. He said, “If you wanted to make a deal at IBM, you could probably make it work, but it would be a lot harder because you’re not in proximity.” In order to get my financial goals, he taught me to get in proximity with investment bankers. Two years later, I made a deal that was worth $400 million to me, taking a company public! Proximity is power — remember it, apply it. It will change your life." -source: producthunt #motivationmonday #tonyrobbins #advice #proximityispower

I offer this recent photo (from yesterday, May 1) and invite you to pause, take a deep breath, and imagine you are once again in that early morning place, before the heat of the day, before the bustle and hustle of the day. You can hear God if you listen, and begin your day with peace and a memory of times that were, and will come again. Be encouraged, for encouragement is justified!

Most people know of and have heard Martin Luther King's I Have A Dream speech but there is another speech that I wish we would heard even more.

It is this one -

" If a man is called to be a street sweeper, he should sweep streets even as Michelangelo painted, or Beethoven composed music, or Shakespeare wrote poetry. He should sweep streets so well that all the hosts of heaven and earth will pause and say, here lived a great street sweeper who did his job well. "

-Martin Luther King Jr

Remove your doubts, fears, excuses and let every rejection motivate you to get the job you want and once you have that job do it better than anyone else.
