Music schools need to have improvisation programs. We need to be teaching about the creativity we are all born witih. Also we need to have ways to teach different genres of music.

I spent some of my quarantine time helping a neighbor with a project. She had old sheet music and she was wondering what it sounded like. So I input the music using the free #opensource software Musescore then uploaded it on to YouTube. The song is called "Sonata Per Corno E Pianoforte" by L. Cortese (I don't know anything about the song or the writer other than that it was copyrighted 1958 by Carish of Milan, Italy) and you can hear it at the link below. #musescore #sheetmusic #music #classical #classicalmusic

Celebrities around the world are "touring" social media to help combat #Coronavirus isolation and show cancelations.
Some notable performances by John Legend and Chris Martin can be found here!
Stay smiling, everyone :)

I would jam music and focus on the job at hand

It's not an easy world out there and troubles comes in great numbers. Then to make things worse others sometimes pray on your vulnerability. In the midst of the discouragement I try to put it in my head to be brave and stay strong. I wrote a song and had it recorded as a reminder. Beautiful song but unless you knew my entire story one would not understand myself doubt, my brokenness or need to get a job.

I love the energy MLB players get with the walk up song as they approach the plate, bat in hand. Whether chips are down and they need bolstering or whether things are just easy and they are relishing the moment. Music powers. So- what would be your walk up song? And what is a good suggestion for others for either situation- chips down or easy times?
I bet more than a few of us would welcome suggestions as we think about what to play as we head into work tomorrow! #WalkUpSong
