In 1999 I turned down an offer from Suncom Wireless to be a Regional Sales Manager of multiple wireless store fronts covering the territory’s of Louisiana and the Mississippi Gulf Coast, only to find out later that AT&T would buyout Suncom Wireless on a national level. That still hurts!!!!!

AT&T is the best company that I have worked for considering that they listened to my career plan and provided a fast track for me to hit my goals provided that I hit my monthly, quarterly and annual quotas. They also provided continuing education at. Tulane University night classes.

Be very careful, watch what you say and do. I worked very hard for this company for over 4 years, in the end was treated very poorly. There has been many changes in the industry over the years and they are behind the times for a technology company, also a new VP of operations came in and started letting people go left and right with no cares that they (including myself) had families to take care of. I still have lots of friends that work there that I know are all miserable and several of whom are looking for new jobs. So my advice would be if you are interviewing there or a possible candidate to be hired, watch your back because it is not the greatest or safest work environment like it used to be.
