PUA, I really did a unforgivable miservice to my family and I by having any confidence in Nevada's ability to handle this pandemic. I applied for PUA over 6 months ago and because of some sort of oversight on both sides my claim still awaits adjudication, now in less than 24 hours it'll be the 26th and the end of PUA and no idea on extensions or anything, I've been left with more questions than I had when I first filed my claim. Now what do I do? If I barely could get through to someone in their phone lines on a regular weekday it'll be impossible to get through now. @steve phelps have you tried contacting your local state representative's office for help in the matter? We've seen on the community, many stories of members contacting their local rep and them being able to help out with their benefits. Good luck!
Ok well here's one for you all! I have worked all my life and NEVER collected unemployment. When recently I found myself in need of MY money in MY unemployment Till I discovered that some slimy peice of garbage had an account already and in my name and ss#.! I have to wait till someone calls me so I can PROVE who I am! How come tyne person in Florida didn't have to prove who they were!!? OMG! This is a stressful situation @Christine Harmon ! So sorry to hear about your current challenges. We've been hearing from a lot of other members in this community facing similar circumstances. Most state UI agencies have employed a new IDme verification process in order to manage fraudulent claims. This effort is a little too late unfortunately for legitimate claimants in need of much deserved assistance.
Did the Florida Department of Labor offer you any follow up steps to report possible identity theft? What about a resolution, any date or expectations set on when you can expect to receive your benefits?
You may want to consider filing a police report for identity theft so you have a record for your complaint. Take all/any additional measures to protect yourself @Christine Harmon . Please continue to keep us updated on your progress with this serious matter.

What do I do when im a first time mother with bills due. I applied and was approved for PUA in Michigan, but ive only received just about $1200 no my case is back on hold. No payments recieved since August 31, 2020. I dont know what to do next, I call everyday and check online. Every person Ive talked accept 2 wonderful ladies have all acted like they didnt know anything or like i was bothering them callingg. Ive already sent in all my identification and still nothing even though im still approved and certifying every week, when it does pop up to certify its making me certify for 2 weeks at a time?? Like whats going on? Please help. Please help. I hold degrees and still dont understand the crap thats going on. First position having to rely in the government for help like this. I have been getting pua unemployment since June they stopped it due to fact finding reasons which I had to prove identity,proof of residency and proof of income after being spun around by them over n over getting different answers and difficulty trying to upload all my proof I finally did it now it's saying adjudication? Ive been homeless for months. I was getting my PUA benefits but they have stopped. The PUA portal claim benefit says open issues but theyre not listed. Ive uploaded my credentials. I have contacted the customer service call center....they want my social security card now but the SSA offices are closed and I cant get my replacement card online because I dont have a birth certificate. I need help!!! My wife filed hers and qualified for over $8500 and for 4 weeks her claim says open issues and no money. We r back on the street waiting for this money. I need help. Real help. This happened to w me 6 months ago, no one would give me answers I sent my ID, social security card 5 times and still nothing! I finally emailed the Governor's office, who then forwarded it to the ombudsman's office and a week later I had access again. And I was 100% verified. It's too bad we have to go to such extreme measures to get people to do their jobs. The agents who answer the phones say that they can't tell us anything so not sure why they are even there? They do have deadlines to respond so make your ombudsman or Governor aware and they'll get it taken care of.
