A Horrible school district to work for. Teachers and support staff are treated as pieces in a machine that are used up and cast aside when no longer needed. DO NOT WORK FOR PUSD.

Everyday was different, seldom bored at work even working 34 hour shifts. I always had a sense of pride about doing my job knowing you were there to help people and to and to help them with their problem

Do not work for Pasadena Unified School District in any capacity.

The institutional character is one that places no value on the people who work for them.

They hire masses of teachers on permits , intern credentials and probationary credentials every year because they lay off a huge number every year.

PUSD uses a "Churn and burn" business strategy to keep a large pool of low paid teachers. When a teacher nears the time where they are ready to move up on the payscale , they are mysteriously given a "do not re-elect" letter. This happens no matter how effective a teacher you have been.

Stay away.
