To anyone willing to read: I have recently started the job search process and I find it to be slightly rewarding. Having not done this for 20+ years having to reflect on past accomplishments and failures I see it as an opportunity to see where the real growth is. I have changed so much as an individual. Completing all of these resumes and cover letters has helped me see it. I hope you all are able to find the positive during what some consider to be a stressful event.

I was 17 years old and worked for a family that ran an apple orchard and bakery. I was the dishwasher. I washed the pots and pans that helped bake the most delicious apple pie I had ever tasted. This feels like such a long, long time ago and when I reflect, I realize how EASY things were for me then being so young....but I didn’t even know it! Job searching has sure changed. Ever think back to how you got started? What was your first job?
