Staying there for over 10 years because I got too comfortable and din't look for a better job. Not just something that pays better, but something that fit me as a person better.

When I worked at the jewelry counter at Macy's I had a father come in and was buying his daughter her first pair of "grown-up" earrings. They told me that she lost her mom very young so it was a special moment. I was glad to help them pick out something that was just right for her. Made me feel good. You gotta look for the wins in your job and focus on the positives.

I worked as a sales associate. One day I was feeling sick. I ended up leaving early, but when I counted my cash drawer I was missing a check. I found out the next day, after returning to work, that I had given the check back to the customer. This customer came back to the post office later that same day I went home and bought more stamps. I had to pay for the amount of the check. Lucky for me the check was for only about $35.00.

Attire is very important. Always wear what’s appropriate during interviews. Always be cordial, patient and flexible when answering questions. Leave several numbers where you can be reached. Good luck and all the best!
