After leaving the catv construction field, I meet my wife, whom had a older model floor polisher...started out low key floor refinishing. Then joined the National Wood Floor Association, located near St.Louis,Mo.Upgradeed to newer equipment, became involved in installation. Worked up until my wife passed away, struggled through the recession and ended up selling out after my property got foreclosed.Last spring l contracted pneumonia, recovered and sold my equipment. This February, I moved here to Missouri, not able to handle the extreme cold of Michigan. I am retired, working on hiking/walking sticks and doing a little gardening.

I'm able to pick my clients, and schedule

I love to make things look better and love to design houses and watch the finished project look beautiful.

Show up when your supposed to with a good attitude and respect all other workers and customers. Show appreciation for your job. Or just find another job. They are a family owned business with lots of the same customers for 20 to 30 years.

Not saving money or planning for my future during the many years I worked for them

When someone came in to my place , bought some firewood and I could see that they didn’t have enough money to pay for it, I measured the wood to the favor of the customer and I could see what the customer had in his or her hand, and the total always came out in favor of the customer and that I give them some change back, just to see the smile in the face of that person, and to make somebody happy, that really warmed my heart

My advice to people interested in working at #selfemployed-sewing/tailor(weddings) as a #seamtress/tailor ...
Love the job. Look upon it as a gift from heaven and no one has your gift of creating this personal touch of love, grace and loveliness.

I loved taking care of those who can't take care of themselves. I've taken care of the elderly as well as younger people.

Nothing just used it for comedic value
