Worked two jobs for the past five years my second job was self employed and paid cash and it stopped in March due to COVID I work as after school tutor freelance (school closed). my first job I was able to keep working up until I was forced to quit in august because my close relative was diagnose with COVID and I had to primarily be her caretaker. I applied for unemployment was denied I applied for PUA and was denied their reason was I didn’t lose my job do to the pandemic but I did. I appealed this decision I still haven’t been back to work since august how long does it take and will the judge approve it in my favor? I’ve been having it very hard on the verge of being evicted because I am months behind I am the primary caretaker in my family I’m having another baby in February please I hope and pray I will be approved I can’t afford basic need so please any advice #pua #benefits #appeals #illinoisunemployment #unemployment #selfemployed

Hi @Destiney Wingard - my advice would be to continue following up about a decision about your appeal. Other than that, are you ready to return to work? I know that you are expecting very soon, but would you feel comfortable finding a remote job perhaps?

I started a popup edible business with funds my mother left my sister and I,the drive behind starting this business was being able to assist patients who suffered from lack of appetite due to chemo and other medical treatments.A way of giving back

Does anyone have information on how this proposed stimulus package is going to help individuals that are 1099 and not W2 employees? Any info about this will be appreciated and helpful. Thanks! #workfromhome #coronavirus #jobsearch #freelance #selfemployed

I would always try to understand why they were angry.

I would tell them to have fun and to be unafraid to share your ideas and creativity with her.

My biggest mistake was not having worked for her earlier than I did.
