I went to work for a company where I have worked before. It is telemarketing so I knew what to expect, or so I thought. They have a new rule which is really stupid. There are 2 sides to the telemarketing office. We all do the same thing. There are 30 seats on each side. They hire 33 to 40 workers. I have to get to work an hour early to make sure I get a seat. We sign in with our time of arrival and then clock in at 8:55 a.m. If a person is 30 minutes early, that person is likely to be told to go home because there are no available seats. We are told, of course, that commission is not guaranteed, but that our hourly salary is. That is not so! If you can't work, no salary! They offer big bucks and incentives with one hand and take away everything with the other. There are already over 60 people hired with a new training class to start this week. Has anyone else ever run into this situation? I am job hunting like crazy because I find this unacceptable.

If you don't mind working in a stressful environment, and can deal with supervisors looking over your shoulder, and yelling at you when you make a mistake, by all means this is the job for you. Otherwise I would stay completely away from this company.
