This is the week of being thankful, which brings us to the topic of thank you’s! If you have had an interview recently you might be wondering HOW you should thank them. While most people prefer to send an email (which is great), mailing a handwritten note could take your thank you to the next level! Here’s why…
1- Sending a handwritten thank you card delivers a special meaning, which is important if you want to make an impression.
2- Mailing a thank you also provides something they can hold in their hands and look over versus missing it in their already full in box.
3- When a prospective employer receives a thank you note it will help you stand out and set you apart from the other candidates.
4- No need to spend a ton of money to make an impression. Just pick up a box of simple thank you cards in the stationary department at Target, Walmart, or even online. You can also find them at stores such as the Dollar Tree as well!
You should still be sure to send that first thank you email within 24-48 hours, but then follow up with your handwritten thank you that same week. You can even slip your [business card] (https://www.jobcase.com/conversations/cb795458-c78b-5403-abca-08908c09d94e) inside with your contact information.
Good luck! : )

Anita thank you for what you said in your post, I know a lot of people are going thru the age thing which is really unfair. Now about your car, as long as it has 4 doors u can drive for uber or Lyft. But check it out for yourself (what have you got to loose)??? All they can do is say no.

Presently I am receiving help in my job search with the GA department of Labor and they were telling me about doing a follow -up letter. What I been reading about on what a follow -up letter suppose to be is after you get an interview and then you send it to the interviewer like a Thank you note. So far I have not been given an interview for the last twelve months and I do not think on doing a follow up unless the letter is to inform most of the jobs I applied for that I'm still interested with the position. Should I still send a follow-up letter even if I have not been given an interview?

I wanted to thank all of you who replied to my post! You are all so very nice and so uplifting! It really helped put my faith in humanity. That even though we don't know each other, you all were more kind and loving than I ever thought. You helped motivate me and realize that I have just as much chance as anyone else out there looking. So thank you all and God bless everyone of you. I will keep you updated and let you know what happens and when I do find work. Sincerely and with much love, ❤Nicqelle ❤

Thank you for that comment, being 50ish myself and looking for a job. I needed to hear that

It's been few months since I've been trying and I finally landed with a job along with the offer letter last week! This community has really helped me a lot emotionally as I could get to hear people going through the same struggle as me and how they all remain patient to get what they want. I'm sincerely praying for all out there to get their dream job and keep doing the hard work, you will succeed!
