Ideally, I would like to work in a hybrid mode. Now I am looking for my next job but I need to move to another state in the summer so remote is the ideal way to go now. Very interesting your POV, @Amanda Garcia and completely agree remote work may not be a fit for everybody!

I love working remotely. I use all the tools in my arsenal, telephone, internet, video chat and text messaging. I am able to stay connected to all projects I am associated with and/or I am interested in. I think that a remote worker must be disciplined and have an internal drive that makes them want to excel. I also travel when necessary to the work site. Most of the work sites are 10+ hours away.

"When looking for a job, make it your job to find a job!" "NEVER apply to opportunities late in the afternoon, shows laziness!" My father was most wise. He did not finish school however, had the business smarts and gumption to run a multi-million dollar business. Unfortunately, we are no longer living in the times where you can walk right in an establishment and ask for an application, speak to hiring person same day-- walking out with a job! WE are up against many applicants. Especially, work from home jobs! Just think about it.... there are 100's or sometimes thousands of applicants to one posting. I remind myself that when the going gets tough push on! Break open those gates and push right on through! Perseverance and thick skin helps allot! #thoughts #looking #pushon #dontgiveup #faith

I was offered 2 jobs this week. One was remote but customer service and you had to have a camera on you at all times while working from home. The other one offered me a great pay but I have to transition from working from home as I do currently to going down town. It is a substantial amount more money with benefits as I currently do not have. I have to let them know my Monday.....thoughts? I am leaning toward taking on this new job and going back to the office. #thoughts

Do you work for a living or live to work? Maybe this is just a tax bracket thing and I am in the lower ones, but I would love to be able to live a life where I didn't have to stress about my next job. And I stress because a job pays the bills, bills that need to get paid every month for me to survive. The minute I get to clock out though, I don't think twice about the day. I am tired but there are other aspects of my life that need attention. I got into a conversation recently with someone that seems to live at work, but for different reasons than I do. This person's entire world revolves around their work projects, their work peers, going out for drinks after being in the office all day, that sort of thing. They even told me they like going into the office on days like the weekend (when they are not expected to be there), to get some more done. They seem to be making bank, so I guess their hard work pays off. But, that brings me to my original question, do people usually center their lives around their jobs? Or do people work because they need to? #foodforthought #thoughts #advice

I have been working since I was 16. Always looking to do more, stay later, always be available, climb up the ladder. The higher I go, the bigger the title, the bigger the pay, the more I stressed about what was supposed to be my next move, and what next move would be considered “successful”. After health and personal struggles and continued stress, I am now realizing that as long as I do the job, any job that allows me to pay my bills, do things I enjoy and save a little, that’s all the success I need in a job to live a stress free life. Am I wrong for thinking this way? #thoughts #advice

Certified Public Accountant, (CPA)

I've gone this route in the past and have had good experiences. Mostly because I knew what I was getting myself into and knew the job assignment expectations before hand. I went with addecco and like I said, no complaints from me.
