I am happy to have the 4th off tomorrow so I can spend time with my daughter. Pepsi pays for this holiday off and since I drive for them full time. It's nice to work for a company that values its employees. Looking forward to a BBQ and some beer.
I enjoyed this time taking care of my mother as an honor to be with her when she needed me most during her illness. Time Off is not a company. I used the phrase Time Off in the same format as my resume for consistency of style.
I was recently discharged from a job of 3 yrs. During that time I was a faithful, hardworking, honest cashier and assistant manager. Well I had a few serious personal issues that unexpectedly occurred. My manager was well aware of this. I went to work on that Thursday after the situation began. Due to being physically sick the next morning, I spoke with the manager 4.5 hrs before my shift and asked to be off. She was not happy with it. We hung up.. I took 3 Advils and went to sleep hoping to feel better and make it because she wasn't happy. Unfortunately I didn't feel better and I didn't go in. The next morning as I was pushing to get ready for work she sent me an ugly text message. Basically saying if I didn't show up... I was automatically fired. I had not said I wasn't coming Saturday and her message wasn't necessary. It was threatening.So, although I was going I was still sick.. her message helped me get back in bed. I have witnessed the 3 day no call- no show but that wasn't my case. My vacation started that Sunday...80hrs.She pulled me out the system that Saturday and I didn't get any of my vacation. I feel like it was a vindictive move.
I’ve been working at a retail store for a few months and just took a week off for a family vacation. Now there is a computer class I wanna take that is 4 days long, and all day. How soon after my vacation can I ask for this time off so I can take the class?
