Best practices when being late to Work
We’ve all been late to work at some point in our lives whether it was due to traffic, oversleeping, not feeling well etc. The key is to not make it a habit, but to make appropriate adjustments to make sure you are on time and ready to work.
It’s very common in the hospitality/service industry to have to relieve someone from their shift. So showing up on time is imperative. Some tips to help you avoid being late are as follows:
⏰ Setting more than one alarm 🚨 (I do it all the time😁) ⏰ Getting between 7-8 hours of sleep (avoid staying up all night watching Netflix or scrolling on social Media 📱) ⏰ If you are feeling sick the night before, make sure to take some medicine the night before. ⏰ Leave your house 15-20 earlier to make sure you are not caught in heavy traffic. ⏰Make your lunch 🥙 the night before! ⏰ If you realize that you will be late, make sure to call your job and let the MOD know that you are running 5-10 minutes behind. #Tips

Don't do it. No matter how hard it is, DO NOT TRASH YOUR OLD BOSS during an interview.
This is a time to focus on the skills and abilities YOU bring to the table, not rehash sour grapes.
Keep it simple, stay professional. ✌️
