Tangible abilities are only one factor hiring managers evaluate to determine who gets the job.
Does your resume portray the hard AND soft skills you bring to the table?

I remember I had this job that offered VTO almost daily to employees. I thought it was the best thing ever🙌🏾. I mean....who wouldn't want to leave work early?! Especially if you have something important to do that day, or you may have finished your work early and think that you deserve to leave early! Don't let the weather be nice (80 degrees ☀️🌈or higher), you know that's heaven to us "Wisconsinites" lol. Everything is sweet until you see that Paycheck 😳😮😮 Your first thought is usually; where is the rest of my money? lol and then it hits you…BOOM.. its all of the Voluntary time you took advantage of🤑 last pay period! Have anyone ever set themselves up like this?!!! #Curious #Tips #Advice #Benefits

#ScamDissection #Scam Email number twwwwwwwo: This one is arguably the hardest one I've come across.
There isn't a picture of a person's face, but there is a picture there. No gramatical errors, has first and last name both in the email and the salutations, not asking me to download anything, the website linked actually has webinar in it and looks legitimate...interviews will be over zoom, has the disclaimer at the end...
Totally legit right?
Wrong.
The email #domainname ends with "Applytojob.com" which no company in their right mind would use.
The webinar link may very well be legitimate - but I'm not going to click on it until the company #verifies the employee works there (she does not). Sarah Garcia seems like a #legitimate name and isn't foreign (not that all foreign names are fraud!!! It's just a trend I've seen in scams and one that I keep an eye out for).
There's no telephone number - not a deal breaker but most #professionals have them.
No department name but a title is there.
The biggest flag in this case is the domain name. The company uses AILLife.com and this simply doesn't match.
If you believe you have been the #victim of a #fraud or have been contacted by a fraudulant party, please remember to report it to ReportFraud.ftc.gov/#/ and the company that is being victimized.

@Alyssa McLellan on the Jobcase team shared that her mom leaves snacks and water outside for delivery drivers to take when they drop off packages. I loved this. And now do it myself, What other ideas are out there to brighten the day of Frontline workers who take care of us all? Or, if you are a frontline worker- what examples do you have of customers who brightened your day. Please share and help us all figure out how best to brighten each other’s day.

Please remember, grammar matters!
Review your applications and resumes prior to submitting them. Check for typos. And remember, you are representing yourself.
Take your time and get the grammar and spelling correct. Always, dot your I's and cross your T's. You are your brand.
How do you want others to perceive you in your writing? It won't always be perfect, but be sure to appear as if you are putting in the effort and taking yourself serious. #jobsearch #application #advice #wordsofadvice

Prices are up - and while Starbucks has always been expensive, they're raising prices even more. Do you think you should have to tip on a cup of coffee? I'm more of a coffee at home person (or Dunkins) but when I do go, I always at least leave my change. But honestly if I spend $7 at Starbucks, I wouldn't be able to afford at tip at all, which would be sad for the baristas. #watercooler #tips #foodservices

Dollar tree has the most horrific management. District, and store managers! Family DOES NOT matter! If your kids are sick you can FORGET about calling out they don’t care about anything but themselves! Stealing is okay as long as it’s the store manager! But if you speak up you get in trouble! They don’t pay you for what you’re worth and wander why people don’t want to stay with the company, training is NOT an option. #wordsofadvice #jobsearch #tips

Looking for a new job is the same level of stress as buying a first home. If humans could remember just 3 simple things to live by, our world would be such a better, beautiful place. I posted this earlier, but can't seem to find it? So here are the 3 things to remember:
- The Kindest People on the planet, have been hurt the most.
- The Wisest People on the planet have no education.
- The Most Giving People on the planet, don't have riches. May Jesus Christ Bless all those who read this post!

Does video resume work? (YES, NO, or MAYBE)
Video #resumes are a way for candidates to go beyond traditional methods of applying, such as submitting only a resume, cover letter, and work samples. Lasting typically 60 seconds, these videos are your shot to make the best first impression on an employer. A #videoresumes lets the employer literally see you and hear your case (via your communication skills, personality, and charisma) as the best candidate for the job - all before the #interview takes place.

I think it depends on the employers. Some employers only spend 6 seconds to browse a resume so the video resumes might not work. But if it's more creative job that they want to see your other skillsets... maybe.
