We have a good group of people that care about fellow employees and the community . One of my coworkers started up a food and toy drive for the Veterans hospital. He does this every year and is able to help around 100 families in need. Tops has let him host this event providing luncheons for all of the families. A lot of the employees donate their time and all pitch in to help purchase items for this.

Not asking questions. I've worked here for 6 months and I never was taught how to do most stuff. Maybe cause the guy who trained me worked there like 2 weeks before I was hired; god rest his soul. He isn't dead but he quit so he's dead to us. But I was expected to know how to do some stuff I didn't know how to do. I was either taught by a frustrated coworker or I figured it out. But please ask questions you will be better off asking

A #stressful #Tops"Firendly"Market day

New Years day. I was surprised with how busy it was. I was closing that day and I thought cause of the holiday it would be easy. I was wrong. The costumers just kept coming and coming and coming and COMING! I had zero time for a break cause whenever I would stock something 3 others would go out and I had to deal with that. And the garbage bags broke in the bins that was fun.

Honestly just do what you're told and make friends. You'll have a fine time doing that. I've made good friends with people here.

Drama at #Tops"Firendly"Market

I stock produce; this lady came in asking me for fresh eggplants that my coworker said he would save for her the next day. I was like "sure thing" didn't think much of it. But we had no "fresh" eggplants. I told her that and she didn't accept that as an answer and wouldn't leave it at that. Long story short she left with some old eggplants near the entrance. She didn't steal but my closing manager I assume had enough of her bs and just said to take what we had so she would leave. Like people if we don't have what ya want cry me a river cause its not my fault. I don't order the shit I just stock it. I've had problems with certain coworkers but I won't share that info to be safe. Lets just say one is a dick and the other is mentally unstable.

Some of the people are really nice. Though you are segregated to one department you do come across employees from all the others and you can make friends. There are also shitty people but that's an opinionated topic
