There’s a lot to consider when planning your next big professional move: do you stay in the same industry, transfer your skills to a new field, or pursue something completely different?
Tomorrow, we're sharing our second “Next Steps Kit” for Toys R Us employees. This one is all about self assessment and is aimed at helping you answer common questions about a career change and finding a new job.
Make sure to join the Toys R Us Alumni group to catch the post.

If you missed Jobcase's first “Next Steps” kit for Toys R Us employees that dropped on Friday, check it out here. We took a deep dive into the essential questions you should be asking NOW.
Every week, Jobcase will post helpful information from our “Next Steps Kit” to help Toys R Us employees plan and prepare for what’s ahead. Watch for a new part this Friday in the Toys R Us Alumni group: a place to unite, connect, ask questions, strategize, and get support. Join today!

The spirit of the “Toys R Us kid” lives on and it will continue to uplift us all.
Remember the jingle? “I don’t wanna grow up, I’m a Toys R Us kid!” Well, we can’t all be Peter Pan – we’ve all grown up, and from what we’ve seen over the last couple of weeks, TRU employees have grown up to be resilient, respectable, capable, hard-working adults.
Here’s an inspiring snippet of a post by Kevin from last week: “I worked at my Toys R Us store for two years as a sales associate. I had a good paycheck and benefits and now those things are ending. I have been looking for work and you need to do it too. Yeah we are sad, but when you lose your job you gotta just keep going...Toys R Us is gone, but we aren’t.”
Yes, Toys R Us employees are facing a great deal of tumult right now, but we’re moved by their resilience in the face of such adversity, and also by the outpouring of support that fellow Jobcasers have been offering up. Keep it coming.
