God forbid you answer the question positively a "Protected Veteran" because you can forget getting hired. Or, rather, if you've been disabled in any way, shape of form, ever, mentally or physically, or having to do with hearing. They trick you into answering these questions so they can vet you out of their candidates. I think resumes should have a spot for just adding your age so you can save the company you're applying to and yourself a whole lot of time and frustration. I can't tell you how many interviews I've showed up to, how many emails I've received from companies that are very interested in me then find out how old I am or that I am considered a "protected Veteran" and that's the end of our conversations or they flat out tell me they can't hire me due to my age or my disability status. Even though "discrimination". So tired. #discrimination #ageism #DisabledVeteran #ProtectedVeteran #NoHire #TrickQuestions
