I'm in IL and I filed on November 2nd. I received a letter stating this was filed fraudulently.. After waiting weeks for a call back, it's now supposedly being reviewed by the fraud department. It is absolutely appalling this is happening to so many people in so many states. We are sitting here without any income and they're definitely in no hurry to get it fixed. #unemployment #ides #unemploymentbenefits

Does anyone have any idea how long your employer or DEO can deny your unemployment benefits? I started getting checks May 26th but afraid to pay bills Incase my employer decides to deny me. I took time off due to my age and health issues during the virus. Any advise I cannot get thru to DEO Thank you. Debbie #unemployment #unemploymentbenefits

Losing your job does not automatically mean you are eligible for unemployment benefits. The reason behind your dismissal, the length of your employment and other factors come into play in the decision process. Here is helpful information from The Balance Careers: https://www.thebalancecareers.com/what-are-unemployment-benefit-disqualifications-2064168

I have been without work for 8 months now. The company decided to lay me off after 17 years to send the work load over seas. Time is running out real quick for me as the severance they gave me is running low.

Long story short my boss forced me to quit and when I finally did he told me to take my unemployment after 6 months he said I didn't really get laid off I quit. Now I owe over 12 k dollars to the state in fines and "overpayed benefits". How can he do this and what can I do?

After 4 years of working. The state of Illinois only gave me 6 months of unemployment. Right after my hernia surgery. I don't know what to do now. I want to go back to work instead of dealing with trying to get unemployment back and forth calling and going up to the office. Fighting with them in a no win situation. Last week i had 4 interviews and a interview today. I exhausted all my money from my last check from unemployment going on these interviews. Even if i get a call back to start a job or get another interview i want be able to make it. Im about to be homeless. I have no income what so ever coming in. I dont know what to do right now but to feel hope is lost for me. Everything has just crumbled under my feet. I just want to go back to work. My hernia surgery is done and over and im healed up, but because i used all my money on bus fare how can i make it to more interviews or work. If anybody know of any place i could receive bus fare for interviews and or starting work please help.

Can I file for unemployment if I'm off work for a week or more at a Time? I've been off a little over 5 weeks this year and my boss doesn't want to pay unemployment. I'm very stressed I'm behind on everything including my child support. What can I do?
